Pumping at work

If you dont use medela bottles is it better to pump directly into the bottles you are using (born free) if they have an adapter you can buy or is it okay to pump into the medela and dump into the born free? I think I have seen someone mention something about the good stuff in the milk sticking to.the side of the bottles?

Re: Pumping at work

  • It sticks after it's chilled, but even then a couple minutes of swirling or a quick run under tepid water does the trick. You won't pump exactly the needed bottle size, so you're going to be pouring either way.

  • Don't bother with the adapter - PP is right, you'll have to pour milk either way.  If there's fat stuck to the edges of the bottle, swirl it around and run some water over the bottle until it's mixed back up - then dump into the Born Free's.
