Mama's pregnant with multiples, can you humour me?

So I have a few questions for those who are pregnant with multiples, especially twins. So a little background, twins do run in my family and my hubby's family. But a lot of them were circumstantial twins ie pregnant too soon after a loss, fertility meds etc. So my period came back in December but I don't think I actually started ovulating until my period in March. So there was a chance that when I got pregnant in April maybe two ovaries were firing? who knows. I do know that in like 11 days I'll have an ultrasound and I'll know but I thought this would be a neat question to ask.

Question 1: Did your beta's rise more than doubling? Like my second beta  basically quadrupled.

Question 2: Did you find you got morning sickness earlier than women who are having singletons?

And yes I am aware that betas don't mean a whole lot, blah blah blah, science science science, as long as it's increasing. But it got me and my hubby thinking what if?

My betas are in my sig, if you can see it. No major jumps in the numbers. As for morning sickness...I had almost none. I was a little queasy at maybe 8 weeks and had food adversions during most of 1st tri, but that's it. ETA: There is just no telling, but maybe you had a late implanter since your beta quadrupled? FX for a great u/s!

I'm going to chime in and say My RE only did 2 betas and they tripled but we only have a singleton so you never know. I hope your wait goes quickly!

That wait for the ultrasound is torture, I swear. My betas DID more than double and I had vicious morning sickness starting with the day of the second beta. We also transferred two blastocysts, so we kind of figured this was a distinct possibility. I hope the wait passes quickly for you!!!

My first beta was 197 and 4 days later was 1528. So my increase was big and it was like 33 he doubling time. I had almost no morning sickness. It's strangely hitting me badly this week but I never threw up in the beginning-just a little nausea/food aversions.
Not sure of your age but natural twins are more likely in women over 35 as our bodies mistakenly release more than one egg. You'll just have to wait it out!! But twins in your husband's family doesn't factor in at all.

I did get pg during an iui cycle so not ivf. I was on Femara but my dh has low sperm count. First beta was 14 at 10dpo. So incredibly low but really early, I actually got a positive wondfo. My 2nd beta was exactly 48 hrs later and was 99. That's a doubling time of 17hrs, so if was going up quick.

I am pg with twins and there is a third empty sac that never developed. My betas with ds were also pretty high and doubled quickly but he was a singleton.

As far as ms, I'm actually not as sick as I was with ds. I have food aversions and have thrown up only 2x. With ds I was throwing up 3x a day. It was really bad. So I really don't know. I am exhausted though, like really tired.

My first beta was 500 and 2 days later it was 1500. Only one baby!

I know this probably isn't what you want to hear, but with betas it really just varies person to person and pregnancy to pregnancy. My betas were pretty freaking high and doubled fast, but that's not true for all twin pregnancies (and it might be true for many singleton ones). If you want, you can check out betabase.info. I know I did a lot when I was getting my betas. 

As for MS, it's the same exact thing. I got a bit of MS early on (right after we found out it was twins at 5 weeks) and was pretty much just nauseated from 7 weeks until 12 weeks (sometimes I felt better). Then, when 13 weeks hit, BAM!, total freaking puke fest. However, there is a girl who sits near me at work who is due in October with twins and she's not had any MS. So, it varies.

Oh, and just a heads up, the whole twins running in the family thing only matters if it is on your side of the family. Sorry to your DH, but it's not passed down through his genes.

My betas are also in my siggy, and they were way different than my first pregnancy (I know that doesn't mean anything). I started testing positive (at home) really early. Like the night of 7dp2dt. I also didn't have any ms with my first pregnancy, and this time was horrible until last week. Again, I know every pregnancy is different but.....

My betas tripled and then more. 1st beta: 22, 2nd beta: 66, 3rd beta: 686.

I've been sick since the day I got my bfp (3 weeks 8 days).

My betas weren't so high that they automatically indicated multiples and I think the doubling time is what is more inclined to suggest that it might be multiples, but even that isn't accurate most of the time. For me, my betas doubled every 36 hours.

As for MS, I was only nauseated off and on, but more off than on. I was much sicker with my DS during his singleton pregnancy! This has been shocking to me because everyone assumes that multiples always equals more MS. But, this just isn't true.

My betas weren't high for a singleton, in fact they didn't double between our first and 2nd beta at all. They were actually just slightly lower than average for a singleton.

I didn't get MS until about 7 weeks, and it wasn't that bad. We were prescribed an anti nausea medication pretty quick which helped, but other people have had it way worse than me.

Honestly, the only way I would know I was having twins based on my physical symptoms was my rapid growth. My belly "popped" around 12 weeks and the growth just got exponential from there on. At 18.5 weeks now I am guessing I measure about 4 weeks ahead still, but my babies are also sitting pretty low.

My betas were "average" and didn't quite double in 48 hours and I've got 2 on board. Everyone's different. We knew twins were a possibility because we transferred 2 embryos, and after reading what betas "should" be, we were convinced there was only one hanging out in there. Nope. Wrong. Only the U/S will tell!

As for m/s- I haven't had any. Again, every one is different. Some books & articles I've read say that twins = twice the sickness, etc. but I must've gotten lucky or something. Lol.

My betas were fairly "normal" and I have had no morning sickness. 32 weeks tomorrow with twins good luck!

My betas were much higher and my P4 was out of control (320) - I also got OHSS, but it was a fresh IVF cycle. As far as m/s, it was comparable to my singleton pregnancy.

My betas were slightly above average for a singleton but no where near twin territory on beta base, doubling time of 40 hours. I began getting mildly nauseous just after 6 weeks and then it turned quickly into non stop sickness at 7 weeks. It stayed pretty bad until week 17 but to be fair I should say nausea is a typical symptom for me when I don't feel well- like i am just a bit extra sensitive to it.
