My husband and I (and Colin) are currently waiting to see the orthopedic specialist for his broken humerus bone. We were 30 minutes early for our appointment but there is a sign in the waiting room that says plan for your visit to take up to 3 hours ... *sigh* I don't think I packed enough diapers for this trip and it's not a very breast feeding friendly room (there are teenage boys with hockey injuries everywhere).
The wait isn't the worst part. Someone just came out after their appointment and was sent to get x-rays done, then told to come back and book an appointment for 2 weeks to be reviewed. My newborn has been body wrapped in tensor bandages since birth. He gets so hot and wiggles his hurt arm out almost hourly. We can't wait another 2 weeks to actually get a recommendation for treatment. We need a solution for everyone's comfort.
I'm so nervous and dejected right now

Re: so we're sitting here waiting ...
I don't really have any advice bc I have never been in that situation but I can totally understand your nerves - i always think the worst!
But keep in mind everyone is there for a different reason and you don't know why they are waiting the 2 weeks for that person... I would share your concerns with the health care provider when you are seen
Best of luck!
His arm has already healed so much in 11 days. We have to keep it wrapped for just one more week and then follow up appointment is in 2 weeks. I just hope it isn't too hot because he gets so sweaty under there we have to rewrap him and sponge bathe him everyday as it is. Humidity would not help that ...
