I would like to start off with saying this has been a very eventful week in our little community and everyone has been in my thoughts a lot lately.

    1. Tell us something funny or quirky about your pet(s). If you don't have a pet: Imagine you were forced to get a pet today...what would you get?

Well yesterday my dog Oliver spent all day staring at the closet door that his food is in.  R and I went out to home depot and Lowes when I got home from work and when we got home Oliver had managed to open the closet door and eat an ENTIRE bag of cat food, bag and all.  Let me tell you he drank about a gallon of water after and spent all night last night gagging.

    2. What subject(s) were you best at in school? Where did you struggle most/wish you were better?

I always really enjoyed and was good at Economics.  Not so hot at spelling/grammar which I am sure you all have noticed many a times on this board.

    3. What's your "death row meal"?

Maybe a grilled cheese with tomato soup.

    4. What's the nicest thing someone has done for you lately? And/or, something nice you did lately?

Reva got up this morning and made me breakfast.  Egg sandwich, home fries, and pancakes.  It was delicious and currently I am so full I don't feel like moving.

    5. What's up this weekend?

Saturday I am working.  Sunday one of my best friends son has his christening followed by a cookout in his honor.  Then probably yard work at home.

    1. Tell us something funny or quirky about your pet(s). If you don't have a pet: Imagine you were forced to get a pet today...what would you get? Ah...my pets are the source of most of my amusement. My pit, Capone, is terrified every morning and has to sneak/army crawl through the living room to his food bowl. What, you might ask has him behaving in this manner? Why-it is my 11 month old kitten, Jax. Every morning Jax lies in wait somewhere in the living room and as soon as Capone hustles through, Jax flies through the air like a spider money on Capone and then runs off. It is hilarious. As soon as this happens, Capone turns and runs back into the bedroom only to come out if M or I escort him to his food bowl. This only happens in the morning!!!!
    2. What subject(s) were you best at in school? Where did you struggle most/wish you were better? School came pretty easy for me. I was always really good in English/Literature and Math (up until Geometry!). History is probably the worst b/c I didn't care to memorize dates
    3. What's your "death row meal"?  This is hard. Probably a roast beef sandwich on marble rye and a chocolate concrete w/ Oreos mixed in and marshmellow sauce on top from Sweet Berries. It is the little mom and pop restaurant here in town and is AH-MAY-ZING!

    4. What's the nicest thing someone has done for you lately? And/or, something nice you did lately? My wife goes out of her way everyday to rub my feet, clean up the house, and pick up things I can no longer bend down and pick up LOL. Other than that, a coworker of mine brought me a card the day after I lost my furrbaby that had a handwritten note of a funny memory she had of Maddox (my furangel now) when she came to visit. It helped me smile and laugh through the tears and brought me comfort!

Something I did, I heard my wife mention that she would really love a pair of flip flops like the ones I have so I went and got them today. I will give them to her tonight after I make dinner for her
    5. What's up this weekend? This weekend is semi-busy. On Saturday, I have to attend our graduation ceremony for the school I work at, then we have a baby care basics class that M wanted to go to that afternoon, and then we are going to pick up some furniture for the nursery. On Sunday I think we are going to go over to my MILs house and hang out by the pool.

    1. Tell us something funny or quirky about your pet(s).

Cats: Mia- LOVED belly rubbed and meows when you say her name on command. Mystique- chases her tail on bed at night and runs to bed when we go. She "fluffs" it for us.

Dogs: Kaydie- obsessive licker! Licks everybody and everything including the cats. We had to teach her Kaydie no lick!!!

Roxie- my drama Puggle baby! Half pug/ half beagle. Had to go to vet Wed. Because of throwing up, not eating, not drinking. Well apparently we have rabbits in the yard leaving her tasty treats to eat and she got 2 parasites from being a poo eater! Trip to vet was dramatic as always. She hid under my chair. They gave her a shot and she jerked and started bleeding so they had to put a band aide on her. Again hid under chair! She is 26.4lbs of coward that one.

    2. What subject(s) were you best at in school? Where did you struggle most/wish you were better?

Best- music and art for sure!!! Wish it was better with grammar and math. Always struggled with math.

    3. What's your "death row meal"?

Grilled ribeye steak with home fries and corn on the cob with a chocolate cupcake for dessert!

    4. What's the nicest thing someone has done for you lately? And/or, something nice you did lately?

For me: Sarah's mom made Sarah do ALL the laundry and hang it for me while I had a crazy work week last week and she was in town. The one night I didn't work late Sarah made me cook dinner which made her mom Soooo MAD! Sarah was off all week while they were here and she didn't cook but expected me to. So her mom "punished" her. When I tried to help she snapped at me and said, "stop helping you're enabling her".

I have to admit I didn't miss that chore and it let me enjoy my weekend!!!

Nicest thing for somebody else: took care of neighbors dogs for weekend while they went to the beach with a 15 month old and 2 15 day old babies!!! (Her hubby had to leave yesterday for France....military). So now I'm watching her house while and the baby crew and dogs go to her moms until her husband gets back.

    5. What's up this weekend?

    Tonight: no plans.

Sadly I have 2 student who's dad died unexpectedly this week and the service is Sat. So I will be attending that with a few other teachers. Also have lessons Sat. Morning.

Sunday I BEST be sleeping in! Fighting a cold and need some sleep!!!!

PIP---Roxie at the vet under me a year ago but was similar yesterday.

    1. Tell us something funny or quirky about your pet(s). If you don't have a pet: Imagine you were forced to get a pet today...what would you get?  Dakota our Border collie mix likes to "herd" our guests around the house.  She walks behind them barking until they sit down somewhere.  It's embarrassing, but by now all our friends and family know to expect it.  Charlie our hound mix likes to lick toes.  If you’re barefoot and she’s around, your toes are getting licked.

    2. What subject(s) were you best at in school? Where did you struggle most/wish you were better?
Math and History always came easy to me.  I really enjoyed those classes.  Grammar/Spelling and Science were my worst.

    3. What's your "death row meal"?  Baked Cheesy chicken and rice.  It’s something that my grandfather used to make and has become my "comfort food".  I hardly ever eat it because 1.  S hates it and 2.  It’s full of carbs and very bad for you.  But it's delicious and has always made a bad day better.

    4. What's the nicest thing someone has done for you lately? And/or, something nice you did lately?
S & I have been planning a courthouse wedding.  Well this weekend grandma told us that she talked to the counsel at her church and they agreed that they do not discriminate and that they would happily marry us.  We are shocked.  Neither of us is very religious and never imagined getting married in a church, but it means so much to us that grandma would do that.

    5. What's up this weekend?  This weekend we are very busy celebrating DP’s Birthday!  Saturday we have a reservation at her favorite restaurant in AC.  We will probably make a day of it.  Might do some sight-seeing, walk the boardwalk, do a little gambling.  Sunday is Asbury Pride.  A good friend of ours has his birthday on the same weekend as pride, so it’s an all day celebration.  He likes to think the parade is thrown in his honor.  It’s also a chance to get together with friends we haven’t seen in a while.

    1. Tell us something funny or quirky about your pet(s). If you don't have a pet: Imagine you were forced to get a pet today...what would you get?
Our youngest, but largest, dog is always jealous of the other two.  If either of the other two dogs are getting any attention, she pushes them out of the way so that she can get the attention.  She does this ALL the time.  For some unknown reason, they both still tolerate her.

    2. What subject(s) were you best at in school? Where did you struggle most/wish you were better?
I was best at Science.  I loved Biology the most.  I struggled with Math, but still did well.  Math was a lot of work for me, but I never gave up and always asked questions and did my best.

    3. What's your "death row meal"?
Hmmmm....some good pizza, Blue Moon ice cream, and sushi.

    4. What's the nicest thing someone has done for you lately? And/or, something nice you did lately?
A friend of C's is giving us her 8 leftover Gonal-F pens.  I have plenty in my fridge, but I'm afraid of running out if we have to do a second fresh IVF cycle.  Realistically, I probably have plenty for two fresh cycles.  Anyway, hers expires in August so I figured why not use them?  Mine do not expire until some time in 2015.  If we get a take home baby or two out of this, then I will pay it forward and donate all of mine to someone.  I always assumed that 10 pens was about $3000-$4000 because that was what one of the nurses told us.  I was on a member website for my prescription coverage yesterday and saw that my insurance pays $5,196.68 for 10 pens of 300 iu Gonal-F. That is hefty!  I don't want to risk running out.
As for something that I've done nice for someone else...  I'm drawing a blank.  I feel like things at work for clients don't really count, so I'm not using any of those.  The other day I left the quarter in the grocery cart for someone else to use.  Its small, but helpful if you don't have a quarter.  The way the store works is that the carts get locked to each other and you can only unlock them when you put a quarter in.  When you lock it back up, you get your quarter back.

    5. What's up this weekend?
C is just getting home, so dinner and a motorcycle ride tonight.  I already transplanted some of my plants and put them on our back porch for the summer.  Tomorrow is a benefit for a coworker/friend who is having a very rough time with cancer.  Sunday is the Pride Parade and Festival in Buffalo.

    Me: 30  DW (aka C): 29

Together since 2/15/11 ~ Legally married in NY on 9/29/12

    ***CP mentioned***

We've been working on baby #1 since July 2013 using Open ID donor sperm.  8 IUI attempts with 5 actual IUIs and one chemical pregnancy.  We have one fresh IVF cycle under our belts as well as a FET.  I have endometriosis and a uterine septum that was corrected via surgery in November 2013.

11/14/14 -  Second HSG shows that tubes are still clear and ute is looking good.

12/6/14 - Started BCPs in prep for IVF #2

12/22/14 - Saline u/s and endometrial scratch (All was clear and OUCH!)

    1/2/15 - Began stimming for IVF #2

     ****All Welcome!****

We are Mommas to four fur babies - 3 dogs and 1 cat.

    1. Tell us something funny or quirky about your pet(s). If you don't have a pet: Imagine you were forced to get a pet today...what would you get?
Frannie, our dog, loves to lick the elbows of men who visit our house. She does this to cis men, trans men, large men, small men, etc. My guess is that it is a testosterone thing more than a gender thing, but I don't know.

    2. What subject(s) were you best at in school? Where did you struggle most/wish you were better?
Math and English were my best and handwriting was my worst!!
    3. What's your "death row meal"?
Mmm. Chicken fried steak. My mom's mashed potatoes. Strawberry rhubarb pie.
    4. What's the nicest thing someone has done for you lately? And/or, something nice you did lately? Our former neighbors who have become friends of ours brought us two bags of snacks, junk magazines, puzzle books, etc last Saturday when they found out M was on bedrest.

    5. What's up this weekend?

Bedrest for M. I'm gonna do bedrest hanging out with her and keep cooking freezer meals so that she and I have food to eat while she is on bedrest and I start my new job. We were supposed to have our queer prenatal class at the gay and lesbian center but we can't go.
    ****loss discussed*****

We're queer. I'm 33, have severe stage 4 endo, and had both fallopian tubes removed. My love ("Manada" on the boards, 32) was diagnosed with diminished ovarian reserve. We did Partner IVF (my eggs, her uterus). We lost our twins Tavin and Casey at 21 weeks gestation.

    Our IUIs
with @Manada: IUI# 1-7 (December 2012- September 2013) all BFN. Tried natural, femara, clomid, puregon/follistim, clomid and menopur combo, both the ovidrel and HCG triggers.

    Our IVFs:
IVF #1 my eggs November/December 2013: Cancelled IVF due to poor response

    IVF #2 my eggs/Manada's uterus January/February 2014
BCPs and lupron overlap Stimmed: 1/22-2/2: Bravelle and Menopur (dosage ranged from B300 and M150 to B375 and M150 to B300 and M225)
2/4 retrieved 10 eggs. Endo was much worse than expected. Only 3 eggs fertilized; February 7 transferred two day 3 embryos, froze one. All great condition.

    1. Tell us something funny or quirky about your pet(s). If you don't have a pet: Imagine you were forced to get a pet today...what would you get? One of our cats has lost all of the fur on her belly and inside her legs. It looks ridiculous. :P Our other cat has recently gotten too old to jump on our bed. :(

    2. What subject(s) were you best at in school? Where did you struggle most/wish you were better? Creative writing/English was the best. I wish I did better in Spanish. It would be SO incredibly useful for me at work.

    3. What's your "death row meal"? Ugh. I have told L that I could never ever ever go to prison. I'll take the lobster roll and cold beer.

    4. What's the nicest thing someone has done for you lately? And/or, something nice you did lately? I've been getting the little things L mentions in passing (ie. her phone charger in her car broke so I bought one and had it delivered. She ran out of vitamins yesterday so I stopped and bought them.)

    5. What's up this weekend? KIds have a friend spending the night tonight. Soccer tournament tomorrow and then nothing all.day.long. Whoo hoo. Sunday - church, brunch with a friend, and then laundry/getting ready for the last week of school!!!

    1. Tell us something funny or quirky about your pet(s). If you don't have a pet: Imagine you were forced to get a pet today...what would you get?  I brought this question up to EV as we were falling asleep last night.  I said I wanted a golden retriever, to which she replied they have so much hair.  I countered with the fact that they have a very amiable, loving and easy going personality. We had a golden retriever named Sam when I was growing up (he was my parents first dog).  I used to crawl to where he was laying and bite him in the foot (well gum really).  He'd patiently get up move across the room and lay down, and the process would begin all over again. ;-)

    2. What subject(s) were you best at in school? Where did you struggle most/wish you were better?
English, History and Art.  I struggled with Math and Physics

    3. What's your "death row meal"? True NY pizza, an ice cold Coca Cola and a hot fudge sundae.

    4. What's the nicest thing someone has done for you lately? And/or, something nice you did lately?
The Baby Sitting Co-op I belong too created a meal train for us, and have been delivering meals for the last couple of weeks.  It has been so helpful and generous.  EV and I feel very "taken care of" and grateful.  The nicest thing I've done is print up a bunch of pictures of the boys for EV's grandparents in PA.  They don't have facebook or email, but love getting photos and letters so I try to keep them up to date.  Her grandparents are really good people and I like having them in my life (especially since my grandparents have passed away on both sides).

    5. What's up this weekend?
Yesterday we went to Costco and Wholefoods as a family (well by the time we made it to WF I stayed in the car nursing Owen and singing "itsy bitsy spider" and the "wheels on the bus" with Kaden while EV ran in.  Today I'm going to plan a few meals for the week, and take the kiddos to an ice cream social this afternoon hosted by the Mother's Club Babysitting Co-op.  EV's going to get her paper/project done for school.  Sunday we're heading down to the Santa Cruz pride parade and meeting up with a fellow bumpie and her family. Woohoo!! :-)

Its been awhile since I have posted so here goes.....
    1. Tell us something funny or quirky about your pet(s).
Our dog Milly is 5 pounds full grown but I think deep down she thinks she is 50 pounds. She hates small dogs, growls at them and runs from them. When J and I go on walks she will only run up to the big dogs and try to play with them even though they probably think she is a snack!!!
    2. What subject(s) were you best at in school? Where did you struggle most/wish you were better?
I was really good at English - I struggled with math and science which bums me out because all the career choices I wanted involved a lot of math and science sooo I ended up going a different route.
    3. What's your "death row meal"?
Oh man this is hard because I love soo many foods. If it were possible, which it probably wouldnt be but I would want the calamari and steak I had at this restaurant in Ft. Lauderdale called Casa Blanca.... soooooo good!
    4. What's the nicest thing someone has done for you lately? And/or, something nice you did lately?
Jaimes old boss let us borrow the $950 to freeze her embryos. Nicest thing anyone could do for us.
    5. What's up this weekend?
Well I am currently at work, yesterday we went to the kid Jaime used to nanny for baseball game and then back to her old bosses house for a bbq which was a lot of fun. One of the ladies there has been through IVF so it was great to talk to someone about the experience.

    Me - 27  DW - 33

    Started TTC in January 2014.

IUI #1 -Clomid, + HCG Trigger BFN

IUI #2 - Gonal F + HCG trigger BFN- benched for 2 weeks due to cysts. Placed on BCP

IUI #3 -Gonal F + HCG trigger BFN - benched for 3 weeks due to 6 cysts. Placed on BCP

Trying again next cycle doing IVF
