trophectoderm biopsy

Can someone explain if this is the same as CCS testing? I tried to do a google search, but I am not finding alot. I know the trophectoderm biopsy is a form of pgd testing, but I am confused.
TTC since May/June 2012 
Sept 2013 testing:
SA #1 Low motility (17%) 
SA #2 Lower sperm count, but much higher motility
CD 3 Bloodwork and ultrasound - Normal HSG - Clear tubes 
Oct/Nov 2013 Cycle 1 with RE 50 mg Clomid + Ovidrel + IUI BFN  
Nov/Dec 2013 Cycle 2 with RE 50 mg Clomid + Ovidrel + IUI BFN 
Jan/Feb 2014 Cycle 3 with RE 50 mg Clomid + Ovidrel + IUI BFN 
2/20/14 Follow up consult RE recommends IVF with ICSI 
3/10/14 New patient consult with RMA NJ 
3/11/14 AMH and other Bloodwork to prep for IVF with ICSI at RMA NJ
3/28/14 Saline Sonogram - All good
March/April 2014 IVF #1 Antagonist Protocol
BCP/Bravelle/Menopur/Ganirelix
4/16/14 ER 26 Retrieved!!!

    Yes, this is CCS testing. The trophectoderm cells are the cells that become the placenta; the inner-cell mass are the cells that become the baby. A trophectoderm biopsy is just a Day-5 blastocyst biopsy; at that point, they are able to distinguish between placental cells and "baby" cells. This is part of why Day-5 testing is preferred by many REs - you don't have to touch the "baby" cells.
    Me: 34 / DH: 33
    19-year history of endometriosis. Multiple surgeries and cyst removals. Forced directly into IVF due to blocked tubes and severe adhesions.
    IVF w/ICSI and CCS #1 - Dec 2013 - Only 1 normal. Ended in CP
    IVF w/ICSI and CCS #2, at CCRM - March 2014!
    14R, 12 ICSI'd, 11F, 6 for CCS, 5 healthy blasts frozen!
    Two 5BB blasts transferred 9/10; First beta 9/19: 109; second beta 9/22: 550!
    EDD: 5/29/15

    I found out the other day I have 8 5 day blasts left after transfering 2 on Sat. I was just checking to see how many they had to thaw for transfer after I learn some don't survive thaw. My nurse says it looks like they tested my embryos which is part of the study protocol for both groups before freezing. I assumed all 15 of my blasts made it to freeze. They did the trophectoderm biopsy, but not sure what they were checking for. This is the one downside to being in a study. I could email the reserch team, but not sure how much info I will get right now. I know I will find out all the details, but it is after a birth, loss, or failed cycle.

    Just so you know, when I went in for my FET I was nervous as anything that it didn't survive the thaw.. and the nurses all looked at me like I was crazy for thinking that.. good luck!
