So DH and I moved in last August, and haven't hung pictures. I was thinking recently that I would love to do a tree wall decal on this large wall in our living room, maybe with some nice quote (about family or life maybe?) It's a fairly long wall, and I don't want just one little tree on one end. Any ideas? Looking on google is overwhelming me. Here is a pic of the wall. (will get bigger when click to show more of it)
I can't access Pinterest at work, but if you search tree decal you will get hundreds of examples. I have one pinned from when I was gathering ideas for the nursery. It shows floating shelves that are hung so they look like they're part of the branches, almost. And then you can put family photos or keepsakes on them to be part of the tree. It was a really cool idea, and it would be perfect for a living room.
We have a decal in DD's room that I love, it has a tall tree (reaches to the top of the wall) and a shorter tree (3/4 the way up the wall) it looks really nice and the etsy seller I purchased from had the option to pick custom colors or stock.

Okay..call me crazy..but I couldn't swallow the price tag on some of these that weren't even tall enough for what I needed...sooo..I ordered the colored vinyl..and will be cutting pieces to do this on my own. Ohhh I hope I'm crafty enough!! I ordered dark brown for the tree, olive green, light spring green, and a baby blue, for birds. I think I want it to look something like this..https://www.etsy.com/listing/97348807/tree-wall-decal-for-modern-home-or-baby?ref=shop_home_active_18
@AKB090609 does this connect to a computer to project an image? @dimples12 I plan on taping some of the brown roll to the wall and drawing the tree shape right on the paper and then cutting. I will freehand cut the branches and leaves.
No, you place a photo or picture underneath it and it projects the image onto the wall. My students used to use it to decorate the classroom. You wouldn't need it if you plan to free-hand your tree.

Ahh. Got it. This would be helpful as then I could use the basic shape of the tree to help me. Drawing trees isn't my strong suit. I will look and see if my Joanns has this! Thanks!
You all may be totally right..but I ordered all the vinyl...sooooo..you may hear back from me in a few days/weeks wanting to rip all my hair out..or..with pics of the awesome tree!
