How Long Did You Wait Until You Tried Again?

Hi, my boys will be 2 in June and I want our next baby to be no more than 3 years apart. How long did you wait until you decided to try again?

    I had DS1 in July of 2010, DS 2 of July of 2012 and the twins are 2 months old. I like having them 2 years a part, the older two are totally buddies (don't get me wrong they also beat the bejesus out of each other, but they are inseperable)

     POS+April 2009-M/c May 2009, POS+July 2009-M/c Aug 2009, POS+ Novemeber 2009 -Baby Boy Charlie DOB 07/06/2010, POS+July 2011-M/c and D&C Aug 2011, POS+Dec 2011 -Baby Boy Ethan DOB 07/27/2012, POS+Aug 2013-TWIN BOYS! Jack and Miles born March 23rd 2014!!

    We are thinking of starting when they are a year, but I will be 36 at the time and I did an IUI to get these babies, so chances are it could take a while if we decide not to go back to an RE.

    It was important that we get on the ball - we are "older" and it takes IVF to conceive for us, so I will have 3 under 2 in September. It all depends on your particular situation, but for me the closer in age the better, just my personal preference. But DC costs are going to drown me for a few years...
    Me: 37 DH: 40 TTC since 9/09
    #1 BFP 1/10/11; missed m/c discovered 7w5d
    IF Dx: Endo, hetero MTHFR mutation, poor morphology
    #1 IUI: 1/18/12 = BFN
    #1 IVF/ICSI 4/2/12 = 2 x 7-cell and 1 x 5-cell transferred (3dt) = BFP!!
    H was born at 41w2d on 12/29/12 - be still my heart!
    #2 IVF/ICSI 1/19/14 = 2 x 8 cells transferred (3dt) = BFP!! EDD 10/09/14
    M&W born at 37 weeks on 9/18/14 - I am the momma of 3 boys!!!

    We talked of having our kids close in age, but life happened after my son was born; fast forward 9 years later, and pregnant with twins. **gulp**
    For us, we feel incredible blessed in our situation because my son is SO excited to have a brother and sister (something he's wanted for years); and now we don't have to worry about the new baby having no one to play with since they'll have each other.
    We have a bunch of nephews and 1 niece my 9 yr olds age, so again the worry about lack of playmates isn't a factor anymore.

    I'm a little baby crazy and I love the idea of caring for a single newborn...but then I remember I have two toddlers running around. They are 20 months. If we try again I think I'd like them closer to 4 and in pre-school so I can have one on one time with the new baby!
