Some people have just wanted to be a mom ever since they were little. Others have taken a little while longer for the idea of having kids to grow on us. Why did you want to be a mom and what are you most excited about?
I am excited to have a little piece of DH and I. To see how they turn out and who they take after.
This!
I've always wanted kids - when I was growing up, I wanted 5 of them. DH and I made the conscious choice to make sure that all of our ducks were in a row before having kids and at this point in my life, 5 is out of the question. I'm happy we waited but at the same time, I can't wait to start the next part of my life with DH.
I definitely didn't always want to be a mom. It took us a LONG time to get to this point. But now I can't imagine not being one, and I'm soooo excited (albeit scared, too!).
But I'm most excited to see if we're having a little girl or boy :x (team green so we have awhile, but I can't wait to know).. and I'm super excited to lay eyes on him/her for the first time. And to watch a combined piece of us (how corny) grow into their own person.

Everything. I'm really excited about seeing the combination of me and H. For awhile I was worried that would never happen and I'm so grateful that we're getting this chance. It will be so cool to see which features he/she will get from each of us.
I didn't always know that I wanted kids. I guess I always figured that I would, but I wasn't sure until I met H.
I didn't always know I wanted to be a mom. My first pregnancy was unplanned and the outcome was not good. I felt attachment instantly and I just knew that was what I wanted. Now several years later, it seems like I may have a chance at having a real baby again! I cannot wait to know if we are expecting a baby girl or boy but most of all I cant want to bring baby home, love him and watch him grow!
I always assumed i would have kid(s) "someday", but that day didnt happen in my 20s. Im getting older now, and feel like I would regret not having kids, so here goes nothing! Also, I kind of liked my nephew as a baby and more so now that hes getting old enough to do things, so I figure if I can like one kid, i can like another.
Im excited to see this little person im growing. And very curious as to how the genetics will play out, what parts of DH and I will this little person have?
Me: 34 DH: 28. Married Jan 2012. Started TTC Jan 2014. Got our first BFP April 28th. Baby Boy Born: December 24 2014
I'm excited to have a piece of me. Someone that needs me, that I will be taking care of and helping them grow. I can't wait to experience all the kid stuff with them again as well!
Meeting the baby, watching him or her learn and grow, and showing him/her the world. Teaching him/her to be a good person. Seeing H with the baby - he is going to be an amazing dad.
Omg seeing DS as a big brother. I've been babysitting a friend's 3 month old this week, and even at 17 months DS is such a little helper. He keeps rubbing her burp cloth against her mouth like I do. It melts my heart! (I'm not normally such a sap!)
