37 weeks- Going to pop at any second!

What is it about turning 37 weeks that instantly makes you (and everyone around you) think that you'll be going in to labor at any second. Lol I swear I keep looking WAY too hard in to every ache and pain. This little lady will come when she's damn well ready to but man these next couple weeks are going to go by slow! All day I have been getting comments about "try this to start labor" or "you better not have this baby for another 4 weeks" . I have no control people!

Definitely one for the SS/AW/Random thread.

That being said, I hear ya.  Three women are currently standing around my desk discussing when I will go into labor.  With this much attention being paid I'm sure it won't be till August.  Calm down people.

I hear ya. Everyone in my phone book expects a call as soon as I go into labor... Yeah not happening. But we are at the end of it so that's pretty exciting.

I thought this was going to be a lot more fun. Something like "omg xxguise!! I am 37 weeks today so I just know baby xxwill be tonight!! Right?xx That's what happensxx?? But if not should I try a pineapple??"

Hmmm a random vent...where could it possibly go? I know what you mean though. It probably has a lot to do with the fact that baby could actually come at any moment now.

Yeah I'm still trying to navigate the whole boards thing and am mostly lost on the abbreviations but I'm getting the hang of it. (I didn't notice the "random" thread until after I posted this and can't figure out how the hell to take it down now). It lets me edit I think but do I just edit and delete all content?

Do not delete. Just leave it and know for next time!

yeah don't delete it. It's NBD. That means "no big deal"

@shannonliggett‌ no 39 weeks is now considered full term, I'm not sure why it changed, but 37 weeks WAS full term during my last pregnancy which was just last year lol

Wait...what???

The ACOG changed 37 weeks to "early term" and 39 weeks to "full term" a few months ago. I totally agree with you! My midwife made me feel like I was going to give birth at any moment when I was 2 cm dialated at 36 weeks. I panicked, got many of my family and friends convinced it was "any day now," and 3 weeks later, nada! I'll probably go to 42 weeks for crying wolf! That'll learn me

I feel exactly this way. I'm on edge at 37 weeks, although I know he could come 3 or even 4 weeks from now. I think it's also because at this point it's hard for me to get around and do "regular" stuff anymore, so I'm just ready for him to be OUT! Lol

Hey there WK! See the difference between this post and the labor post?? We got snarky with this OP too and she took it well so we welcomed her to our board. After giving real responses on the "labor" thread she told us "thanks for the smart ass comments." She got 4 pages of well deserved snark. Don't try to tell people how to respond, doesn't go over well.
