Weeks: DD is 9 days old!
Upcoming Appointment/Updates: I had an appointment today for me. I had a 4th degree tear and my OB wanted to make sure I was healing well. Everything looks great. He says I'm ahead of the curve! Dd had an app last Friday and she was 3 oz shy of her birth weight. She had gained 4 oz in 2 days! Her 2 week check-up is on Monday.
Rants/Raves: Rant: being a mom is hard. It took almost a week for me to feel "connected" to dd. Lack of sleep and feeling bruised and sore hasn't helped. I do feel like I'm over the hump though. Rave: my mom is flying in tonight and she finally gets to meet her granddaughter! Second Rave: I gained 35 lbs during pregnancy. I have lost 23 of those pounds!
Anything you want to get off your chest- go for it: No one can prepare you for the spectrum of emotions you feel after having a child. To complicate things, not everyone may feel the way you did. It can be lonely in the first few days. The idea that this little baby is entirely dependent on you is overwhelming. I have felt sadness over the loss of my "old life", anxiety over am I doing things right?, and total love for this little person who has stolen my heart. This is hard but rewarding.

Weeks: DS is 2 weeks, 5 days
Upcoming Appointment/Updates: We just got back from his 2 week appt (though it was a few days late!).  He is now 9 lbs 9.5 oz (65 percentile) and 21.75 inches long (78th percentile).  His head size is only in the 29th percentile, which made me worry, but she said it's nothing to worry about.  He also had to have a heel prick, which he was not happy about!
Rants/Raves: He must've been going through a growth spurt the last two days because he was extremely fussy and wanting to eat all the time and not sleeping long during the day.  I think he is over it because he slept for a 5 hour stretch last night (he has never done that!) and has actually been sleeping today in between feedings!
Anything you want to get off your chest- go for it: I was feeling so overwhelmed and frustrated the other day because he was just screaming and nothing I could do would calm him down and so I yelled and then felt really bad for yelling.  It made me feel like such a horrible mom. :-(

Weeks: 40. Freaking baby needs to get moving!

Appointments: next one is tomorrow. She'll strip my membranes and schedule my induction then. Hoping this is over sooner rather than later...

Rants: DS decided to share his cough with me, and I feel like garbage. Plus, dh is working late tonight, and ds is refusing to nap now.

Raves: I got nothin....

I'd like this elephant to get off my chest, that would be great. And this baby needs to come out. I'm done.

Rants/Raves:
Rants: Still having trouble with latching when DS nurses which is making me so sore! I ordered a My Brestfriend pillow yesterday because when we used one at the lactation consultants last week it seemed to help. Hoping he gets the hang of it consistently soon. Also, I still have 18 pounds to lose. Weight loss seems to be at a standstill for the last week. Cutting calories starting next week now that my milk supply should be established and hoping it will all come off quickly when I can start running in a couple of weeks!

Raves: DH has been an amazing help with everything!

Taking care of a newborn, a toddler, and a preschooler is exhausting, but I love my boys so much and wouldn't trade it!

@anniemore‌ That awful shelf will get a lot better! I've had two previous C/S and the things that helped improve it the most were running, planks, and Pilates.

I totally understand how you feel though! :-(

@sparklingdiamond‌ My oldest had a smaller head like that and I worried too, but he is totally fine. He's four now and doing great!

Weeks: 40 (ignore siggy, never updated it after they changed my due date)
Upcoming Appointment/Updates: Next appointment is monday.
Rants: I have 5 friends who were all due in May and I am the last one still pregnant. It's tough to see them all with their babies and still be pregnant. I am happy for them but I want to have my baby to love on as well... Come on little one!

Rants/Raves: Rant: I have so much weight to loose. I gained a lot with DD and again this time, even though I worked out and didn't eat a ton. It took about 3 months to loose last time. Rave: DS has been great and DD loves him. I didn't think she'd really like him but so far she always checks on him and makes sure he's always with us.
