@lisaren I live in NYC, have my whole life and I've never been in Times Sq to see the ball drop. Maybe I should add it! I guess it's kind of one of those things that you never think to do because you live there.
I've gone to NYC a few times for the ball drop - we went to Time Square one year and I would NEVER recommend anyone put themselves through that hell! :-O

@uncharted01 LOL I was going to say the same thing. I went once back in the 90's. It was the worst experience ever. I can't even imagine going now. Once you are in there you are in. There is no in and out. I have a lot more fun watching it on the tv haha
~Nov14 Moms November Siggy Challenge: CELEBRATION!! ~
I too lived in NYC for 16 years, and never once saw the ball drop, the Thanksgiving parade or other nightmare events. For NYE - you have to get there super early and you can't leave to pee or whatever. Plus, it's f-ing cold. I would much rather be inside, drinking some excellent wine and champagne.
Mine would be to live in London for a year or more, have a beach house for an entire summer, and to go on one of these swim vacations where you are with a group and you swim from tropical island to tropical island.
@lisaren sorry lol... Ok how about we go this route...It's most likely a better experience for visitor's and not for those that live here lol.
The parade is actually better and easier than the ball drop... though I work the parade every year so I might be a little biased haha..it's a lot more organized ...and not at night with freezing temps lol (even though this year was brutally cold)

It's so neat to see everyone's lists. I've never really given a bucket list too much thought to be honest, but there are of course some things I'd like to accomplish.
- Go to Scotland - Go back to England - Go on a Henry VIII or equally nerdy historical tour - Travel Europe - Take an Alaska cruise with DH - Travel across Canada with my kids to show them our country - Build a cottage and retire to it - Be a great mom - Be happy (not that I'm not happy now, but I just want to be happy)
Take a trip to Africa ( DH parents are from there) Take the kids on vacation to Puerto Rico (I am P.R and the kids have never been) (Hold your breath for this one) Threesome with DH for fun no other man involved Spend a year in Hawaii Learn Arabic ( just think it's pretty cool) Publish my own Poetry Anthology
One of the ways i realized i was depressed a few years back was I realized i didn't have a list anymore. I had no future dreams. I made a bucket list in high school, but couldn't remember anything from it, and really didn't desire too. I'm doing better now, but still have t made a list. I'm going to sit down and work on it now
A few things on it I remember and want to do are to visit every continent except Antarctica, and to see every state. I've only been in North America and to 7 states (west coast problems), so I've got a ways to go. I'm getting inspired by you all!

Buy a rundown old house and restore it, not renovate. (more of a dream than a bucket list)
Really @wildflower75? How so they like it?! The benefits for this job are ludicrous: fully paid furnished housing, health & dental, free flight home for vacation, flights out here when moving, monthly transportation allowance, school fees for the kiddos...they make it very tempting.
Yes, they love it! And they are always telling me about how I should move there- the great pay, benefits etc... And apprently it's very beautiful over there...
I've never had a list so this should be interesting! Just off the top of my head - Go snowboarding in New Zealand - Take my boss's job ( He is 50 something, I'm totally retiring here, I love it ) - Eat pasta and drink wine in Italy - See my kids graduate College/University - Retire at an age I can still enjoy life - Own a boat - Travel back in time and see Led Zeppelin live O.M.G. I would be all over Robert Plant
Live in a house with a porch and yard. Take my husband to Paris. Win a stay in Cinderella's castle. Work for Disney. See the northern lights. Find a cause I love and volunteer throughout retirement to honor my grandparents who did the same.
