I am greek and my Mom's name is Kyriakoula (Christine in greek). So we were trying to get something close. We were thinking Kira, Kiara, Kyria, etc.
They probably thought those were too close to made up, trendy names. Kyria is very pretty though.. Why don't you use the full name and call her kyria as a nn?
I've looked over there only for ideas. But my DD1's name is Peyton & we are considering Camryn for our DD2 so I know better than to ask their opinion over there! haha
After reading through the names board and seeing a lot of praise for the name Juniper for a girl in one thread, I had no interest in asking for feedback there. DH got a good laugh out of it and helped solidify our criteria for no weird names... no Juniper, Brooklyn, Paris, Ocean, etc. Also nothing in the top 20 either, including any of the 20 spellings of Kayden, or any gender neutral names like Madison. What exactly we will name our LO, we still don't know yet.
Re: Has the Baby Name Board stopped you from using a name?
