Zofran?

Hi Everyone,

I am 7 weeks 3 days today and I have been experiencing M/S 24/7.  I haven't thrown up yet, but it feels like I am on the verge pretty much all day. I tried to deal with it by eat cracker, sucking on jolly ranchers, etc. but that didn't seem to help. I finally spoke to my doctor and she prescribed Zofran but it only seems to help for about 2 hours, which is better than nothing but I don't really want to have to take several of them in one day. I was just wondering if anyone else has had this problem or if Zofran seems to work pretty well for you?  Thanks!

I started taking it yesterday. I just took my second dose before getting ready to do some presentations at work. It
last about 6hrs for me. I am only tolerating ginger ale and animal crackers lately. I've had Z before in the past for my IBS/nausea and the 8mg always works better and longer for me. You could always ask for the higher dose.

Zofran only seems to work for about 2 hours for me as well.  Im on the 4mg pills.  Calling my doctor up to get her advice or a different medication.  The constipation is awful with this too.

Thanks for the responses! I may give it a try for another day or two and then if they still don't seem to help I will call my doctor to discuss a possible increase in dosage. I agree, these pills do seem to cause awful constipation. I may need a pill for that too ;-)

I'm on Zofran, but you're not supposed to take more than 3/day, no closer than 6hrs apart.

I have felt so sick 24/7 for nearly a week. I am on my way to pick up zofran and at this point even 2 hours of relief sounds good.

I've also been sooo sick. I have of ran, took it twice yesterday and STILL vomited......

Thanks for the tips! Today I am feeling slightly better...it definitely helps when I keep my stomach full.  I will just keep grazing all day :-)
