  • Congrats again @ksgsmu - I'm so incredibly thrilled for all the BFPs these past few weeks.  Here's wishing everything stays great and blissfully uneventful for all :)

    1. Gabbagal from MA

    2. Mix of NTNP and actively TTC #1 off and on for about two years. We've been pretending to just be NTNP lately, but really we're aware of timing and cycles but find it easier to deal with disappointments if we pretend we're not really trying

    3. Not doing anything special this cycle, will probably finish up some initial testing with my RE

    4. AF just reared her ugly head this morning. This cycle I was definitely experiencing some phantom symptoms like a heightened sense of smell this weekend (or so I imagined).

    5. I rarely POAS (I know I'm in the minority, but I'm cheap and can barely handle the stress of it, I mean my heart is literally beating out of my chest when I do it/wait for the result!) and AF is very regular so I use its arrival as my answer, but this cycle just felt so different. I was convinced that something had happened even before AF was due (this past Sun), then it was late (which it never is) which got me so convinced. I tried really hard to wait a couple of days before testing, but got the BFN yesterday, then of course got AF today. Honestly I should've known b/c boobs don't lie and mine didn't hurt

    QOTW:

I love food so going out to eat (doesn't have to be fancy) is always fun for me. Plus adding a leisurely walk on a nice day while holding hands still makes me happy.

    2. How long have you been TTC? TTC#1 or TTC#2, 3 etc...? TTC#1 since March

    3. What are you doing this cycle? Are you seeking help with a fertility specialist ( RE)? If so where are you at? Testing? Medicated cycles? IUI? IVF? Charting/temping?
    Charting and temping

    4. Where are you in your cycle? ( Waiting to O, 2WW etc) If in the 2ww when will you test? Experiencing any weird "phantom" symptoms ladies in your 2ww?
Waiting to O.  I think I will O this weekend.

    5. How do you feel about this cycle? (Are you hopeful, anxious... etc)
Very up and down.  Trying not to get my hopes up too much.  Next cycle I will probably be OOT for my FW so that puts more pressure on this cycle.

    QOTW:

So glad to hear about all the positive events in everyone's life.

    1. lcwed, Lisa, TX

    2. TTC#2 5 months

    3. Started temping with FF and was able to confirm O.  So happy about that one.  Continuing with PNV and OPK.

    4. @URMySunshine77 looks like we are cycle buddies this month. CD 21, 5 DPO, early part of 2WW.  No symptoms yet.  I have had some pain in my middle, but as it's too early for implantation I imagine it is just my pants cutting into my stomach. I'm up in the air about testing.  The day before my period is due is our EOY party at a restaurant with spectacular Margaritas.  So its a whole do I party till its pink, or do the mature adult thing and test the day of.  Decisions, decisions.

    5.  We had great timing this cycle, so there is a better chance this month than last.  It could be a lot of wishful thinking though because if it doesn't happen this month, then we will run into the issue of sharing birthdays.

    QOTW:

We love movies and used to go all the time, but now we can only go when babysitters are in town or available.  So anytime we get to go to a movie and then to dinner, it is wonderful. DH has a knack for finding great local restaurants and loves trying new things so I know we will always have a delicious meal.

    @gabbagal‌ BIG hugs to you!

@beckyp005 Wow, transfer is already here, awesome! GL

    1. PrivatOne, CT

    2. Started with RE 2012, but trying since 2009

    3. IVF # 3 is here.

    4.  Had baseline appt today and ready to start the stimm meds tonight. When my RE was doing the ultrasound this am and he rolled over to the ovaries I squealed a little because I saw several baby follicles.  Lately I've been having phantom menopause symptoms and thought for sure there were no more eggs left, lol.

    5. Actually my emotions have been very sad of late. I feel like it's over, but I am not done trying yet.  Hoping my new protocol gives me a better response and that there's at least some normal eggs in there. We'll see.  Getting nervous as well since this is a new protocol for me.  A few new meds and that always makes me scared.  Time to suck it up buttercup :)

QOTW:  Hmmmm, I like to many things to decide on just one. Being outside in nice weather, taking in some sites, followed by good food would be a great date.  Also love to see live shows (music, theater, etc.).  We just recently saw a new Cirque du Soleil show and it was terrific!

  • 1. Your Name or Screen Name ( not full names) and State you are from...
    radiantly, from brooklyn ny

    2. How long have you been TTC? TTC#1 or TTC#2, 3 etc...?
TTC#1 since august last year, but actively trying about 5 months

    3. What are you doing this cycle? Are you seeking help with a fertility specialist ( RE)? If so where are you at? Testing? Medicated cycles? IUI? IVF? Charting/temping?
charting, temping, acupuncture, some supplements, preseed, OPK, and thinking about robitussen.

    4. Where are you in your cycle? ( Waiting to O, 2WW etc) If in the 2ww when will you test? Experiencing any weird "phantom" symptoms ladies in your 2ww?
I'm CD 9, usually I O around day 17 or so, and I'm not getting fertile CM yet, so thinking about robitussen this month to help thin out the mucus. i've not really had issues with thick mucus but wonder if it could help.

    5. How do you feel about this cycle? (Are you hopeful, anxious... etc)
hopeful but ladies, i really want it to work this cycle!  this is taking so long! :( i'm ready!!

    QOTW:
What is your idea of a perfect date night with your spouse/partner?
going to a local restaurant in our cute little 'hood in brooklyn.  a nice long walk in prospect park is good too.
    TTC#1 since Aug 2013, I'm 37, DH 41.
Maya Arvigo Abdominal massage (daily self care), plus TTC meditations.
I'm very sensitive to diet (gluten, avoid processed foods) and environment. Have a history of inflammation and tendinitis before going off gluten in 2009.
July 2014 - RE Visit #1: Eggs look good, Endometrioma on R ovary, HSG showed blocked R tube close to ovary. DH SA normal
DX: Endometriosis probably the IF cause and gunking up tubes.  Since egg reserve is high, RE says I can wait a couple months and then get laproscopic surgery to remove endo & clear tube.  If that doesn't help then move to IVF.
Dec 2014 - Saw new RE - does not recommend surgery on tube as it isn't likely to help.  Doubts I have endometriosis.  My endometrioma shrunk to neglible size (yay!)
    Seriously considering IVF in March/April
    12/17/14 - Natural BFP!
  • @radiantly is robitussen supposed to thin out CM?  Or generate more?  Never heard of that!  Hmmm...and is it better than just using preseed?
    Me: 35, DH: 33
TTC for first baby since 11/13
    Charting BBT
  • Thank you! I appreciate it! @PrivateOne and @BeckyP005

@PrivateOne - How bad do you remember your discomfort being AFTER the surgery? That is my main concern. I am so glad to be having it removed. I got THEE worst attack yesterday and it is still with me. It actually made me cry and woke me up through the night. It still hurts but now it's like a dull ache. :(

  • @TAT2MAMI I had my gallbladder out five years ago, so a little hard to remember.  I do remember that the whole procedure was only like 15 mins. MH in the waiting room was shocked when the surgeon came out so quickly.  Mine was done laproscopically.   The first day I was very groggy and not in too much pain as I think it was from the anesthesia and stuff they give you.  The next day I felt a little more pain, but actually not enough take any meds, if you can believe that.  The thing that I recall the most was that I had a really full, bloated feeling which I am sure was from the gas they pump in you for surgery. Again, for me, it wasn't anything not tolerable.  By the 2nd day and 3rd day I was feeling pretty good considering.  By the time a week went by I was totally fine.

Best of luck to you, hopeful things go uneventfully.

  • Good luck to everyone! Sounds like there are a lot of good things in the works for many 1. Kindershlitz/MI 2. TTC 2-august '13 3. Pnvs, water, opks, temping again this month, also really altering my diet-increasing my fertility friendly intake and decreasing the junk 4. CD 1:( I have a follow up appt with ob on June 25. I'm not sure what our next step will be but we had the hsg in March. Hoping I don't need the appt. 5. I am feeling really bummed about this cycle so hoping I can buck up my attitude in the next couple weeks, however, seeing all the bfps has been awesome and helps! 6. Ideal date is walking downtown on a nice night for dinner w/DH then time to walk around after to burn some off. Nothing fancy.
  • @gabbagal - Thank you again. ;)

@PrivateOne - Doesn't sound too bad. ;) .. I am worried about the bloatedness from the gas. I heard it can be painful. Thank you for sharing your experience. :)
