I know lots of you were going to try potty training this weekend. How did it go? Spill the details, then maybe I can get some tips:)

  • I guess I can also respond to my own question. I half assed potty training, and shockingly it didn't work. I didn't fully commit, mainly because I don't want to train my not quite 2 yo and it is horrible timing, but I feel bad passing up the opportunity.

He has been using the potty, I did pantless for about a day and half. He is very into the treats. He sits down for a bit and then jumps up and goes "yay potty" with some fist pumps, and then "treat, treat:D" He goes on the potty about 3-5 times a day. He hasn't yet learned to empty his bladder so these trips are not all that helpful. Did learn that he doesn't care about accidents. After the fifth accident on day 1.5, I caved and put him back in a pull up.

I'm going to do pull ups for another few weeks/month or so and then I will try again with naked/underwear.

Hah. I just signed up for 6 months of personal training, so I had that on the brain. Decided that since we're not planning to get KU anytime soon, it would be a good time to get into better shape. And of course, now I'm worried I am KU...
Yikes, hope it turns out well for you!

Not so well. She did great with peeing but pooping she isn't quite there yet.
If she got peeing down that is great! Poop was a struggle with my DD, it took 2-3 weeks after she had pee down. GL

  • We are getting so close! Just so hard that we are doing well and boom back at daycare...and then he regresses. We are trying so hard as soon as we get home to lose the pull up and put on underwear, it worked today. And the sticker chart works! It worked for my daughter, seriously make a big deal every time they will eventually get it

  • We did however manage to get rid of the pacifier this weekend so I consider it a win.

That's a huge win!  Congrats!  (I'm dreading giving up the binkie for DS2.)
We got rid of the pacifier this weekend as well.  It seriously wasn't as bad as we thought it was going to be.  DH and I both agree that we weren't ready, not DS, lol.
