Gluten Free Cupcakes?

Posting this here because I figured you could help me out.

So my LOs first birthday is coming up and I have some family that are gluten free and Im making cupcakes as dessert but I wanted to have a gluten free option too.

Anyone have any recipes for gluten free cupcakes that they've tried and loved? Is it possible to take a regular cake recipe and substitute it with a different flour (potato, rice, millet etc)?

I'm not sure about substitutions, but I've seen quite a bit of gluten free cake mix options in the organic section at the grocery store.

The gluten free one is by Betty Crocker and they are great... Their fudge brownies are REALLY good too!

We individually wrap and freeze them. they go with us to b-day parties so B isn't left out.

I used both Betty Crocker and king Arthur cake mixes and had great results! Happy birthday to your little one :-)

If you look up comfy belly blog she has a recipe for very vanilla cupcakes made with coconut flour which is delicious (and uses honey or maple syrup instead of sugar since they are paleo) she also has chocolate and several other choices. My kids love them- no gluten, no grains, no sugar- plenty of protein, fat, and fiber though.
