Baby classes

Has anyone signed themselves and baby up for any classes? I will be home for the summer (teacher) so I am wanting to find a class or two for the summer. What have you done with this lo or other los or what do you plan to do if anything? I was looking into a move and grow class they play music do some tummy time things and then maybe a water class but god knows I won't be sporting a bakini!

We're probably going to start going to baby story time at the library but we're not doing anything too scheduled that I'm going to feel obligated to go to just because we paid for it. He's still a little bit hit and miss as to his schedule.

Why not a bakini? Your husband could go too and wear a spaedo

Right now we do a breastfeeding group through the hospital and a little readers group through the school system. They're free and I don't think we will sign up for anything that costs money because like pp, I don't want to feel obligated, especially with her lack of schedule right now.

We did a new moms group through the hospital, which was wonderful for helping me learn how to get out of the house on my own with her.  This summer we're going to do a baby music play group, and baby and me yoga.  Will prob also check out what the library is offering, though I'm thinking she's too young for a public story time?  Not sure.

In the uk, but we do lots already there's a baby singing and dance thing at most of the local libraries - always one a day you can find. We also go to a new mums group once a week, to the cinema for a baby friendly screening once a week (£5 only!), to a church toddler group (obviously I hold baby, but it's good to talk to other mums), then on the spare weekday we either meet up with family or friends or do something just me and her like painting in a local pottery place (footprints on mugs, etc). I aim do things most days. I think it's good to get out of the house every day if possible. I have a dog so we also go for lots of walks.

I find tummy time really hard to do with her. She either screams the entire time (so always less than 30seconds!) or she is sick and face plants the sick if she looses her balance..... So when we're out and about she's always looking round and I believe using the same muscles and building up strength that way instead

We start infant massage today it's a 4 week class for an hour each week. Most of the baby programs stop over the summer here so I'm hoping in the fall to do parent and tot swimming class, active babies class (a play group for kids 6 months and up) and baby music class which is singing and dancing, I did it with my girls 2 years ago and they loved it!!

Once LO has a daytime nap schedule, we are going to story time at the public library and a music exploration class through the parks and rec.

Will gets regular one on one play time classes. He also gets weekly massages and pictures taken. Oh wait . . .

I wish I lived in a bigger town. I so want to do mommy and me stuff! The closet town that would have anything is 40 miles away.....womp womp

We are doing a stroller fit class at the park a couple times a week. I may look into the library thing. There is music class too but I will probably wait on that.

So jealous of y'all's libraries! I get so bored here, and I've checked the library (which is a pretty good library system I thought!) and there is nothing for babies!
