Wow- totally shocked

I just got back from vacation today and thought what could it hurt to give my ole doppler a try knowing that it's probably WAY too early to hear anything. As they say the earliest you can hear a heartbeat is 10 weeks. Wrong! I heard the heart beat!  I'm 8 weeks and 1 day. It was strong in the 130-140 range! I've been such a debbie downer thinking that I'm going to have a missed miscarriage (just my bad luck). My first dr appt and u/s is on Thursday and I feel so much better! Wish I knew how to post a video of it! My dh and I listened to mine on my femoral artery just to make sure it was the baby! Eee!
