I've been on the board, lurking and posting since late March and never did an intro.
I'm 34. DH is 40. We live in San Diego but are moving to San Francisco in July. We have an adorable terrier.
We were TTC for two years. Several tests and months later my diagnosis remained "unexplained infertility". We did an IUI and bam got a BFP right away. Twins. Since then one of our twins stopped developing (I have a hard time coming up with the right terminology. Passed away? Demised is what the peri said). So now we have a singleton and I feel blessed, with lingering sadness.
This board has been soooo helpful thus far. I feel really well informed and well prepared. I am amused, inspired and comforted by the ladies of N14. Personally, I feel that we have just the right amount of snark. Looking forward to 6 or so more months together!
TTC 3/2012; IUI 2/26/14; EDD 11/23/14; DD born 11/21/14!!!
@Byrdie15 Boxer puppies are so cute. I, too, am a big planner, which is why I find the board so helpful and why pregnancy (and parenting) will be a huge test for me.
TTC 3/2012; IUI 2/26/14; EDD 11/23/14; DD born 11/21/14!!!
I'm Cindy, live in NY. FTM and full time bonus mom to the coolest 11yo SS ever. DH and I have been married since Oct. 2012. We decided to stop "not trying" after our 1 year anniversary and let nature take it's course, blessed with a BFP and due Nov 17. All's well so far. Couldn't be happier.
Happy Bumping to all!!! Love to all the ladies here....fave board of all the boards!
I have semi intro'd on a ticker change post a few weeks ago.
I have been a lurker so far and have learned so much valuable info from you ladies
I am a FTM. But mama to 3 pups and 1 cat. The pup in my avi is the newest edition. She will be 11 months when LO arrives.
My DH and I will be celebrating out 9th year anniversary this September. We haven't really tried until this year. We have both been super busy with our careers up to this point, so when it we got our BFP we were so excited!
We live just outside of Edmonton, Ab. We are using a MW who delivers out of the Lucina center.
I'm totally guilty of the non-intro as well lol. My name is Nicole, I lurk, a lot. Mostly just don't have much to say unless I feel I can be helpful. I do read the forum though near daily.
I am working on kiddo number 3. I have had 5 pregnancies, 2 of which ended in loss. My last loss was last Summer and I thought it was going to break me (many messy details) but I made it and I'm giving it another go. I'm 31, high risk, with a bicornuate uterus. I am 16 weeks along right now.
I live in Northern Michigan right on Lake Michigan. Been with my husband since I was 17 (31 now) and we have been married 10 years. Our first will be 11, our second is our tiny destroyer and 4 lol. This rainbow baby will be our last.
@Byrdie15 - We have a boxer. He's lying next to me (on DH's pillow) right now snoring. He's my cuddle bug.
Ok - so I never intro'd because I didn't want to clutter up the board with my boring intro. Since this is here...
DH and I are both 29 and expecting babies #1 & 2 after two failed IUIs, an IVF cycle resulting in a freeze all, and finally a frozen embryo transfer. He works in the IT field. I work as a government contractor, but I went to college for print journalism and used to be a reporter, columnist and even a sports editor. Obviously, that didn't work out since I'm a fan of things like benefits and a living wage.
Random fact about me: I have no experience with babies. I have an old family (my mom was 38 and my dad was 42 when I was born), so I never grew up around little kids. I've never changed a diaper (and I didn't hold a baby until I was 23 years old). So, yeah. Two. This will be interesting.
edit - typo
N14 Nov. Siggy: CELEBRATION!
TTC since 2011
Aug. - Sept. 2013 - dIUIs = BFNs
January 2014 - IVF = 3 freezer babies
March 2014 - FET of AA and AB blast = BFP! Twins!
Nov. 7, 2014 - Wilhelmina "Willa" Suzanne (4lb 14oz) and Ari Jose (6lb 4oz) were born via CS
My name is Hannah. I'm 26 and I live in Ohio with my DH, 2 cats, and my dog. I just graduated college with a B.A. in music with a focus on voice. I teach voice and piano lessons for a living and I love it. This will be our first baby. It wasn't planned but Dh and I couldn't be more thrilled! This year is full of awesome because I graduated, baby is coming, my best friend is getting married in October, and I just found out my SIL is pregnant with their second. TB is the first forum I've ever been a part of. I was nervous about it at first because I do have a little bit of social anxiety lol. But that's also why the internet is great. I get to think about what I type so it's not too awkward sounding haha. Anywho, it's nice to be here!
N14 October Siggy Challenge: How I feel in the third trimester (especially when DH eats my pregnancy food)
I'm Samantha STM, I'm 23. 15 weeks with my third pregnancy. I'm not married but my soul is throughly attached to my other half. I live in a really dumb town in Oregon where i am the only known doula and I'm just starting out. My life revolves around birth and pregnant women two of my favorite things but of course my family always comes first. I'm the earthy, organic, spiritual type and its pretty fun! I can't survive a summer without camping every chance i get and my little one loves it! Life is pretty good
I don't think I ever did an intro... And don't really want to clutter up the board with my intro!
I'm a STM, 15 weeks with my third child. My DS is 9 and DD is 7. I work from home as a conference coordinator for two organizations. I have two cats and a dog. My FI and I was scheduled to marry this Sept but decided to postpone when we got the BFP. We cannot wait to get married and can't decide - elope or wedding. We would prefer to focus finances towards getting ready for this one.
I enjoy N14 very much. Most days I lurk and only comment when I have something to say or have advice. This board is so much more fun than my DD and DS board years ago! I need to learn to do a gif eventually!
I'm Niki. I've been guiltily lurking, and so I'm coming out of the stalker closet. I'm a part time high school English teacher- M-W-F and I'm a mom to a precious little guy, born in January of 2012. I also have a Boston Terrier who loves sleeping on the bags of maternity clothes I've thankfully not grown into yet. My husband and I have been together for almost 9 years, I'm 32 and he's 28. We struggled with unexplained infertility issues with our first, Asher, trying for almost three years before he joined our family, and got pregnant the first month "not-not trying" this go around. We have our own business which keeps life busy and we live in the suburbs of Phoenix but dream of moving to Portland, Oregon someday soon.
I'm Whitney. I'm originally from California and moved to Arizona 10 years ago for school, met my DH and never looked back! We have an aussie shepherd and just bought our first home in August.
DH and I have been together almost 8 years now so when we got married in 2012 we wanted to start trying right away. I personally don't believe in fertility for myself as I have always wanted to adopt and have my own, so when we hadn't gotten pregnant in 1 1/2 years we started looking into adoption. We applied through several programs in February sending them out on our 2 year anniversary. Apparently, I got pregnant that same night!
It's very surreal still because I really didn't think it was possible!
I'm a STM due November 14. DD was born January 2013 so I lurk over there too. I'm a West Coaster (San Francisco) and can't bump from work so I tend to lurk more than post because it seems like everything is pretty well hashed out by the time I get to it.
I've been dealing with an SCH for the last few weeks and it's making me pretty anxious, so I am really enjoying all the fun distractions that come up on the board!
I'm Stephanie, 28 years old and FTM (it feels super weird to "say" that!). My husband and I have been married about 1.5yrs. We were planning on trying for kids in a few years, when--surprise! We are SUPER excited, though a little stressed over finding a bigger place to live, my working post-baby, etc.
I've been lurking for a while and have gotten through many a freak-out by reading through various threads! All-time favorites are TMI Tuesdays and WTF Wednesdays. The TMI threads always make me feel so much better about whatever strange new thing is going on with me
Enough rambling.....off to eat a cupcake (or 5?)
Oh and I made my user name back when I registered at the knot, not realizing someday people would actually see it. Rather embarrassing...
I love this thread. I love intros and feeling like I know a little about you all. I hope the revealed lurkers keep posting! I basically lurked my whole first pregnancy, and I'm glad I'm not with this board.
EDIT- now with this board. Well that certainly changes the meaning of what I said!
I am Danielle - 34 yrs old and a FTM. My husband and I have been married for 2
years. We live in Baton Rouge.Starting TTC in January and got pregnant in
Feb.My due date is Nov 3rd, so I barely
squeaked onto this board.I'm a lurker,
but I am slowly coming out of my shell.
My pregnancy has been very smooth so far, but some strange things are starting to happen with my body (hello numb arms). This board has been really helpful in figuring it all out.
N14 October Siggy Challenge: How I Feel in the Third Trimester
Ahhh total lurker here too. FTM so have no experience which is why I rarely post, but I read basically everything on n14 & I'm obsessed with a bunch of you. I think I'm the only Australian on this board ? I live in Western Australia so my seasons are the opposite to you lovely ladies, I'm just starting to rug up & cover my blump. 24 years old, married last September to my highschool crush. This little surprise was quite a surprise. Most of our friends tried & tried for babies & we just assumed we'd have to do the same, but BAM we got lucky on our first "not-not trying" month. Due end of November & I often feel like I have no idea what I'm doing or what is happening with my body, but I kinda love learning as I go.
Although I've been on and commenting for awhile...I never did an official intro. DH and I are 30 and have been married for 6+ years. I have PCOS and we did the whole RE/clomid thing for awhile without success and took a break before starting shots and IUI when BAM I got pregnant with DS. He was born in August 2011. I actually had regular periods/ovulation after DS and got the BFP this time around naturally after. 4 months. I feel so blessed!
I've posted a few times, but never did a formal intro. My husband and I live in Northern VA and have been together 6 years although only married for one. This will be our first child and first pregnancy, We have always wanted children but were waiting for a few more years when Surprise! Birth Control isn't always foolproof. lol Anyway, despite that first weekend of pure shock we are thrilled and cannot wait to meet our little one!
I am 29, an art teacher and DH is 28 and a store manager. I don't get to post and reply as much as I'd like but love reading all the posts!
Another lurker saying hi! I've been lurking for the past few months but wanted to wait until 2nd tri to intro and start posting, just in case.
I'm 32, live in Maryland, have have 2 shepherd mix pups who H and I absolutely adore. We tried for 2.5 years including multiple cycles of various treatments for unexplained infertility, got pregnant from our 2nd IUI but had a MMC at 12 weeks, then got pregnant again from our 5th IUI, which was going to be our last before moving to IVF. At my appointment last Friday the baby still had a strong heart rate at 16.5 weeks, so hopefully this will be our take home baby! A/S is scheduled in 2 weeks, we're team green so won't find out the sex. We're due 11/4, which is 2 days before our 5th wedding anniversary :-)
I look forward to posting and getting to know everyone.
TTC since Sept 2011, Unexplained IF Oct 12 - Jan 14: 3 clomid/TI cycles, 2 hysteroscopies, 2 IUIs, 1 BFP (MMC @ 12w), 2 more IUIs Feb 14: Gonal-f + IUI #5 = BFP! (EDD 11/4/14) Baby boy arrived 11/13/14!
Hi everyone. Never did an actual intro so thanks for starting this thread.
I'm Melissa, 35 yo, pregnant with our 3rd due Nov 14. My DH is 45 & has a 15 yo daughter from a previous marriage. This little one will make us a family of 6!!!??? This pregnancy has been an interesting one to say the least. At 10 weeks I was diagnosed with a pulmonary embolism (blood clot in my lung) & have been on lovenox (blood thinner shots) since that time. That combined with the insulin for the gestational diabetes has me poking myself far too many times in one day for my liking! We live just north of Toronto, Ontario, Canada. I'm off work right now due to the blood clot but I hope to go back for a bit before the baby comes.
So happy to be part of the N14 board.
Also, I haven't updated my tickers yet!
Edited - figured out how to update my tickers! Yea!!
I am loving this thread- so full of rainbows and skittles and lurkers coming out of hiding
I have been posting for a while, but I never posted an intro other than on the spreadsheet thread and the various ticker changes- does that count?
My name is Ann and I live in Southern Ontario, Canada. I'm 28 and DH is 29. We've been together 9 (almost 10!) years. We have a 8/9 year old Belgian Malinois dog name Tyler Durden and an 8 year old cat named Lucy, both adopted from the humane society.
I currently work in insurance and DH works in corrections. I would love to be a SAHM after the LO arrives, but I'm not sure we'll be able to afford it, so I'll likely be going back to work at least part-time after my mat leave.
I came off BC in September 2013 and we weren't tracking or temping or anything. DH was actually away on work training for 2 months at the beginning of this year and only home on weekends, so we know exactly when I got KU (Valentine's day baby!) and I'm due November 9. We didn't tell anyone we were trying (or not trying to not as I say) so everyone asks if the baby was planned. I don't really care either way
I've been on the bump for three years and never done an intro. Fun!
My name is Norther and I'm 30. My DH is Jaden and he's 31. We live just outside of Portland, OR. We are expecting our second child. We both think it's a girl.
When the financial crisis happened we both got laid off, so we bought an RV with our savings and spent a year just driving around in the southwest. We started TTC then, because that's so responsible, right? Traveling was a life changing experience for both of us. It changed my perspective on so many things that I have a hard time relating to people besides DH sometimes.
I gave birth to our son in Feb 2012. I'm a SAHM and DH is a union electrician. I'm a wannabe poultry farmer. I raise chickens and coturnix quail, I have 29 birds currently.
I'd like to buy a farm and raise broilers and sheep someday. I've been a vegetarian for 23 years, and I'm about to do my first slaughter. I decided that bringing compassionately raised animal products to market has more of an impact than abstaining from animal products altogether. I also grow vegetables, herbs, berries, and some fruit.
I enjoy the bump, but I'm disgusted by judgmental crap I read on here sometimes. I believe there is no one right way to live your life or parent your children.
Thanks @carafern for setting this up! I never intro-ed and thought I missed the boat!
I'm Erin, 32 years old and a FTM. I married the love of my life in 2012 after knowing him for 6 months--we just knew. I never wanted kids and so everyone was very surprised when my husband and I decided that we really, truly did (at least 1!). We started trying in January 2013 and I knew I would likely need some form of help as I have never been a good ovulator. In August we went to a fertility clinic and started treatment. We did an IUI in November 2013 and it was not successful. Later that month we moved our whole lives to Florida for my husband's job and so we had to get set up with a new clinic and that involved some waiting as I got new doctors in the area. Well, in that time we conceived on our own! It was an incredibly difficult 13 months for us so I can't even begin to imagine how so many strong women survive a much longer journey. My heart goes out to every woman on this path.
I'm high risk (due to blood clotting history and a thyroid disorder), but the doctors don't seem overly concerned so I am trying to take their cue. We found out our little baby is a girl and are leaning toward naming her Chloe Marie. Marie was my mother's name. She passed within of month of me telling her we were trying to have a baby. I like to think that it took us a little longer to conceive because my mom needed some snuggle time in heaven first.
Hi everyone! I have posted a few times, but mostly I lurk. I am a FTM, and 26 years old. DH and I have been married for 2 years, and we live in memphis. I am an elementary school librarian and he is a music teacher. We have the most precious 1.5 year old 62 lb Goldendoodle puppy and she is so excited about being a big sister! She sleeps on my side of the bed now and sometimes licks my belly. Our LO is due November 7- we are 16.5 weeks (yes, another valentines baby ) June 11 is the big day when we find out if we are team pink or team blue! I am looking forward to REALLY planning the nursery and seriously choosing a name. We are so glad that my second tri is during summer break so that I can use this energy to prepare for baby! I have so enjoyed being a part of this board!
I am 28 years old. I met my DH four years ago when I moved to New Orleans to teach. I fell in love with him and the city. We got engaged in March of '12 and married by March of '13. Shortly after being married we had to move for my husbands job, so we are living on the Mississippi gulf coast now. I was fortunate enough to find a 1st grade teaching job here, which is what I was teaching there so that was a smoothish transition. I miss NOLA deeply, but we are able to own a home much sooner than we would have been able to there. We are only like an hour and some change away and that is nice. Fast-forward to March.. we find out right after our 1 year wedding anniversary that we were expecting a tiny human- it was shocking but very exciting news! I have been fairly active on the N14 board and I really like it here.
WHOOPS, I've been posting since April and haven't done an intro yet either, so here goes...
I'm 31, FTM from Minnesota and live with my husband of almost 2 years (6/9/12!) and my cat, Max. I'm a Youth Services Librarian and work with all ages of kids from doing baby storytimes to making Arduino circuits with teens and it can be a pretty awesome gig. It was really hard when TTC and seeing kids all the time and wanting one so bad!
The day that I found out I was pregnant, I had taken a test the week before after I was one day late and got a BFN, so I just figured I was stressing myself out and making my period late, but my hubby thought 8 days late should warrant another test. So I peed on a stick and BAM, BFP! Then I rushed off to work before I had any time to process it and did a baby storytime. One of the older babies came up to me and hugged me in the middle of a song and then it hit me that HOLY SHIT, I AM HAVING A BABY and I started to tear up!
When I'm not obsessing over pregnancy symptoms, child development, or names, I play tabletop games, read children's lit and graphic novels, watch TV (will definitely need to cut back once baby comes!), and go on walks around the city and lakes.
November 2014 is the only board I visit, because y'all are awesome and snarky, but never bitchy!
Morning everyone! I too have been lurking and posting here and there but never intro'd...so here goes!
My name is Yess I'm a 31 yr old FTM from Chicago. I work for my local Alderman and although I love my job, it can get pretty hectic. DH & I just celebrated our 1 yr anniversary on the 25th. We have been ttc for many years now..and after countless dr visits and just hearing over and over from my gyn that I just "need to lose weight" and it will happen....I lost and gained and lost and gained...and nothing. Finally a year ago I decided to see a specialist and sure enough I found out both of my tubes were blocked. First IVF round was unsuccessful but 2nd one did the job! At my 6 wk ultrasound I found out we were expecting twins!! We are so excited and feel super blessed! I did have a bit of a scare at 12 wks...thank God babies are ok...turns out I may either have an SCH or it is a 3rd gestational sac that didn't develop. Dr is not sure. Either way..the two babies seem to be doing great and I'm just looking forward to the rest of this journey.
Thank you ladies for all the wonderful advice that I have found on here from lurking...and of course...all the great entertainment!!! lol
Edit: Idk what the heck I did to my post but it looks all weird lol..sorry

I've been lurking for a couple weeks and would like to officially join. I just turned 30 and DH and I have been together for 13 years. I have PCOS that required seeing an RE to conceive. We conceived DD on a combo cycle with IUI and she just turned 2 on Monday. The time has flown by! We didn't have any luck with injectibles for #2 so we moved on to IVF and got a BFP on our first round. We are so excited for another child and for DD to be a big sister. Looking forward to getting to know everyone!
Hi everyone, been around a while STM mostly a lurker. My name is Cindel I live in Trinidad (the Caribbean). I have a SS whose 12 our DS is 3. LO is due Nov6. I will be 17 weeks tomorrow. My family can't wait till my 20 week scan so they can find out what I am having. We have a family full of boys and they are praying it's a girl, doesn't matter to me but I hope they aren't disappointed. Glad to get to know all you ladies and to a happy and healthy pregnancy to all.
Pretty sure I haven't done one, if I have please excuse me, I'll blame it on baby brain
I'm Kate, 28 yo, from Florida but now live in Chicago and work as a dental hygienist. My DH is 34, also from FL, and works in sports marketing. We were married in February and were blessed with honeymoon babies! Due November 12 but since it's twins they will most likely arrive in October.
Enjoying being on this board with all of you ladies! You crack me up
This is a good idea. Individual intros from everyone would have been waaaaay too much for this board, I think.
Anyway, STM here. Our daughter is almost 7 and loves human anatomy, learning languages and gymnastics. We live in lovely Vancouver even though the cost of living is so high we still adore it.
My husband owns a moving company... and I own a company that manufactures a beauty and wellness product - so that means I am into international importing and exporting, too. I also have a "day job". I work for a non-profit and do a lot of counseling, event planning and public speaking. But I am done with that at the end of June and I can just concentrate on my growing business, growing daughter, and growing belly.
My husband and I met in late 2002, and got married 9 months later. We love international travel and hope this new child likes long plane rides!
No real idea what we are having yet.... although my Chinese doctor was looking at me funny while taking my pulse yesterday. She then proclaimed that she thinks I am having a boy based on that. We will see if she changes her mind as things move along... and we will see if we can find out anything at my anatomy scan (techs and even doctors and midwives are quite tight-lipped here! There are lots of abortions based on gender, unfortunately. Especially little girls. So freaking sad. )
Anyway, I have been around the Knot/Nest/Bump for longer than I care to admit. I have seen a lot of freaky crap happen on these boards... but I have also met some of the best friends I have ever had in my life here, too. It is an interesting place, that's for sure....
Re: Put your belated intros HERE
I'm Kristen, a 30 yr old FTM from Minnesota. Due Nov. 17th. I work at Target HQ and love my boxer pup and gardening.
I'm so excited to be starting our family and have been enjoying all the research and planning. I'm a total planner
Here's my intro.
I think the only intro I did was on the spreadsheet thread and I really didn't say a lot.
DH and I live in Portland. I work at a baby boutique and nanny so no days off
If you saw my FB announcement, you can see we have a cat that we treat like our child. Her name is Baby, she's 12 and I've had her since she was born.
Next year, I'll be 30 and I wanted a baby before then. We thought it would take a bit longer but we got a BFP on our very first try!
Our 1 year wedding anniversary is next month!
I guess I'm not really worried about privacy because my name is so painfully yoonique. Whatever we choose for LO will be easy to spell and pronounce!
Thanks @carafern for starting this thread!
I have been a lurker so far and have learned so much valuable info from you ladies
I am a FTM. But mama to 3 pups and 1 cat. The pup in my avi is the newest edition. She will be 11 months when LO arrives.

N14 Nov. Siggy: CELEBRATION!
We have been married 3years in July. we have two fuzzy cats, Oliver and bubbles. I am due sometime in Nov.
I am very goofy, clumsy. I like the smell of pert plus and tastes of amoxicillin. Oh I am random. um yeah.
I live in middle Tennessee. we live on the lake next to woods. I was adopted. My fave color is green.
My random ramble is done
I'm a STM, 15 weeks with my third child. My DS is 9 and DD is 7. I work from home as a conference coordinator for two organizations. I have two cats and a dog. I'm a FTM in law school (thank goodness for DH)
Even though I've just been a stalking creep, I ♥ N14!
Edit: I can't spell.
I'm Whitney. I'm originally from California and moved to Arizona 10 years ago for school, met my DH and never looked back! We have an aussie shepherd and just bought our first home in August.

I am 29, an art teacher and DH is 28 and a store manager. I don't get to post and reply as much as I'd like but love reading all the posts!
TTC since Sept 2011, Unexplained IF
Oct 12 - Jan 14: 3 clomid/TI cycles, 2 hysteroscopies, 2 IUIs, 1 BFP (MMC @ 12w), 2 more IUIs
Feb 14: Gonal-f + IUI #5 = BFP! (EDD 11/4/14)
Baby boy arrived 11/13/14!
I don't really care either way
My name is Norther and I'm 30.
The end!
Our LO is due November 7- we are 16.5 weeks (yes, another valentines baby
I have so enjoyed being a part of this board!
DD1 5.26.12 - Femara, Gonal F and IUI
DD2 10.18.14 - IVF
Anyway, I have been around the Knot/Nest/Bump for longer than I care to admit. I have seen a lot of freaky crap happen on these boards... but I have also met some of the best friends I have ever had in my life here, too. It is an interesting place, that's for sure....
