Okay, so I know I'm years late, but I gave up on LOST in season 2 when it was on TV and I am just now rewatching the whole series. I just saw the episode with Charlie and NOT PENNY'S BOAT and I just about lost it (  Now at least I know what everyone was talking about.

Anywho, I know that there are some ladies (and gentlemen?) on here that like LOST and like to discuss, so I just thought I'd share. Its about the most exciting thing that's happened for me today.

@pobrecita, I honestly didn't mind the finale that much.  I know most people did.  I won't post spoilers here, but I found it satisfying enough.  I think the expectations for it were too high and it was never going to live up to them.

The first four seasons are amazing.

I won't spoil why it gets less impressive in later seasons.

LOL, @pobrecita, @LuckyDad, @vandelay, I know about the finale. DH was a faithful LOST watcher (which is why we own all 6 seasons on DVD and I can watch them at my leisure). I actually think it makes it more interesting watching it with that in mind.  There are many MANY hints throughout the seasons.

I also think season 3 is really picking things up. The first time around I just could not get through season 2.

You say there were hints but I read somewhere that they were just making it up as they went along towards the end and had no clue how they were ending the show until it was being written.

My issue with the finale was that all the commercials leading up to it were like "all your questions will be answered!" Um, no. No they weren't.

Well, I think it's common to have a beginning and an ending planned out. And common to not be sure the exact path that will get from that first season (which usually needs to be pretty much done to get made) to the end. It's why a lot of shows suddenly get better again in the final season as major plot lines are resolved in narrative ways that always made sense.

Many british shows have planned arcs rather than the open ended American way of "make the show til it becomes too expensive to justify continuing, even if it jumped the shark seasons ago".

That's how I got caught up on Supernatural. I was so sad when I got to the last episode on Netflix, and then I never remembered to record the new season, so now I'm a season behind again.

Also, glad to know I'm not the only Kate-hater. I feel like I didn't dislike her so much the first time around, like when I was her age? Now she just comes across as a petulant child and I can't figure out why these grown men are so taken with her.

I love this show.  Sayid for Lyfe!  The ending was a huge let down for me.  I was so scared that I was going to miss the finale because it was right around my due date for DS and I know I have mentioned before that DS is named for Benjamin Linus.

Richard has such smoldering eyes in that picture!

I quit watching that show when it went from being weird to completely crazy bizarro off the wall strange. So I never did see the finale but I heard it sucked.

Also, I thought that Desmond guy was pretty hot...but I'm pretty sure he played a character on L&O SVU that was a pedophile. And that's the first thing I remember about him when I see his picture. Sorry Desmond

I pretty much agree with @Mrsbadkat's list, except I would switch the top two.  

I love this thread, it made my morning.  I kinda wanna rewatch Lost now.
