Intro

Hello- I'm not on here much but looking for advice.... I have a 2.5 year old son and we just had twin boys (6 weeks old). They were born at 35 weeks and were small but not in the NICU. I know I should stay away from the milestone sites and books but I'm starting to worry about them tracking objects, making eye contact, and grasping stuff. I asked their doctor but she told me not to worry...just wondering if anyone has any advice/experience in this area? Also, I'm pumping but have been unable to keep up. I have to supplement an ounce of formula for each at every feeding. I'm just wondering if my supply is ever going to increase or if anyone had tips pumping for twins? I'm taking a supplement and using a hospital grade pump and I'm still not keeping up. Finally, ugggghhhh I'm getting zero sleep. They are still only going 3 hours in between feedings and by the time I pump I feel like the process is ready to start again... My first kid was a great sleeper so I'm not used to this and I guess just looking for when it's going to get better/support :) I feel like a zombie, which I'm sure you all do with twins! Love reading all your posts and advice! Katie

Feeling like a zombie is about right. Hang in there. Mine are 11.5 weeks now and were born at 35w, too (girls). They dont really grasp objects yet (except my hair) but they have been making eye contact for a few weeks and recently started tracking and giving us some social smiles. I think uyour boys are fine. Remember they are developmentally only 1w. As for supply, I was never able to keep up with my girls' needs and at 6w I went to FF to keep my sanity. Good luck!

  • My twins are 13 weeks. They were born at 32 weeks and just began tracking about 2 weeks ago. They have been batting at toys since about 7 weeks but still don't grasp toys often.

If your Dr isn't worried, relax and enjoy them. :).
