Who's TTC or planning on TTC in the near future?

GTKY: What kind of POAS person are you?  Do you start testing as early as possible or do you wait until a missed period?  Do you take one and believe it or do you take multiple tests to double and triple check?

We're still officially waiting to TTC until the fall, but the other night we threw caution to the wind so I guess we'll see what happens with that in a few weeks.  I was hoping to wait until after the summer to be pregnant again, but I'd still be thrilled if I got a BFP at the end of the month.

GTKY: I usually test earlier than my missed period, but only by a couple of days.  I generally only take one test,  but with DS I ended up taking three, LOL.  The first one didn't actually work.  The control line didn't even show.  The second one was a blue line test.  I got the faintest, faintest positive but I had read that a lot of people get false positives on those so I didn't believe it.  Then I took a FRER and I got a totally clear positive.

With LO turning one next week we're hopping on the NTNP boat.  We have a kink in our plan though - post-partum-AF has not showed up yet.  I don't have any intentions of weaning LO soon either, so we'll just have to see if he starts sleeping better to encourage AF back.

As for POASing, when TTC LO, I only had 2 instances of ovulating with sufficiently long LPs to even give a glimmer of hope of pregnancy (over 14 months) - so I was peeing on all the sticks as soon as my LP stretched into being 7 days.  I'll probably do the same this time around, given that I buy wondfo's in bulk.  And I do believe the first one, I just keep peeing on them to see the line get darker as days progress (and like I said, because I inevitably have a ton).

Speaking of POAS, I had a weird situation with pregnancy tests this weekend. Since I don't have AF back I've been testing every two weeks just in case. I have the Wondfo ones, too. I tested Saturday around noon and didn't see a line, but came back and checked it in the afternoon to see a very faint line. I know you shouldn't check them that late, but that is how I found out I was pregnant with L. I tested again that day and the next two days in the morning and they were all negative. So, I'm pretty sure nothing is going on and it's still a waiting game for AF.

For L, I tested daily at 10 dpo. I saved the sticks and compared them day to day.

Can I join the preggie pact?? 

We just started TTC last month.  With DS, I POAS 3 days after my missed period.  I think I may have taken more than one because I bought a two pack (I can't remember though).  I believe the first one though. With this one, I will still probably wait until I miss a period.  We just started trying again and I don't want to drive myself crazy.

I think we are NTNP right now, since I haven't charted since my mc. As far as I can tell the plan is to officially start trying in August, but we are in the process of buying our first home and we've been looking since FEBRUARY! Not sure what the market is like where you ladies are, but here in Michigan it's a great time to sell, not so much to buy...

Anyway, I'd like to have our house settled on before we start TTC, but DH would like to start trying ASAP.

With DS, we weren't trying, but I POAS the day before my period would have started... I just knew. With my MC, I tested 9 DPO and got a super dark positive. This time around I'm hoping to have a more relaxed approach, but we will see. I chart so I have a pretty good sense about that stuff.

We are still just NTNPing at this point. I've been having period type symptoms (very crampy, upset stomach) since about last Thursday. I could have SWORN my first pp af would arrive...but nothing so far. I felt nauseous after dinner the other night. I'm terrified and secretly suspicious of being pregnant. But I haven't PdOAS yet

And speaking of PingOAS...I hate to admit it, but my pregnancy with M was not expected. My periods have always been crazy-get it one month, then skip several months before getting it again. For a little while they were normal, and I was visiting my sister when I realized that it had been too long since my last. Then I went home, told mh my suspicions and tested about a week later and it was +. I took another a week later (+ again) but I only took it bc I had another test. I knew I was pregnant after just one

This time, I'm avoiding POAS and I don't know why. Scared to be pregnant again? Scared not to be pregnant? Probably both

I just got my first pp af so I think we are officially ttc. I have no clue how things will go with my cycle. So for the next couple of months I am just going to be winging it. Then when I see that things even out I will start temping. I have pcos and was able to conveive dd after a lap to remove endo. So I am not even sure it is possible to conceive again.

After so many years of ttc I grew to detest poas. With dd I had told myself if af didn't come by 14 dpo and my temp was still up I would test. When I saw that positive I believed it. However I did another test the next morning just because well I mean I had taken so many in the past and had never gotten a positive.

I think that's called an evaporation line, which is pretty common in Wondfos.  I had one trick me back when TTC G, and it was super big letdown.  

We are still saying we're NTNP, but we had good timing this month based on my estimate of FW so we will see here in a few days.  

I hate seeing BFNs and when I'm not BF'ing I'm pretty regular.  So I usually wait till I'm late to test. With D I was around 18dpo before i got up the nerve to test.  With G I tested on 14dpo, didn't believe it because I didn't feel KU, tested twice more that day and again the next morning before I believed it.

I have two tests sitting on my bathroom sink...unopened. I shocked mh when I brought them home.

Ooh, me me me! I kind of actually can't believe that we're trying already, I've been talking about trying "in May" for a long time...

With my first, I did not POAS until after I already knew I was pregnant, pretty much. I had symptoms and was a few days past my normal luteal phase, but I just didn't take a test until then. I took a bunch of tests, but not because I didn't believe it, more because I liked seeing the lines get darker. 

This time around, I already took like three tests last cycle even though our timing was awful. But they were about to expire. I'm going to try to wait again this time, but we'll see.

test was negative.  and I feel a little like this  #:-S because I want M to have the opportunity to nurse until he's 2

I wouldn't have been mad or sad or anything, but I want to make sure our breastfeeding relationship isn't cut short unexpectedly
