Cloth Diapering

Well crap...

DS has been on antibiotics and now he has a flaming yeast rash. Ugh. I just had DH just go and get sposies until DS is off the medicine and after we get his poor butt taken care of, and treat our diapers. So I know he didn't have a rash yesterday morning and maybe by the evening it was slightly red. I have the diapers from yesterday waiting to be folded so everything is separate from his clean diapers. Will I be safe to just treat yesterday's and today's diapers??

Re: Well crap...

  • I would treat the whole stash, just to make sure. Unless something hasn't been used in the past week or something.

  • Ugh! I just rewashed my entire stash because I switched to tide. I was having a really hard time getting a good clean with anything else.

Okay I have to bleach in the tub so the very very few pockets that I have can be soaked? Luckily I have mostly flats and prefolds. And to be clear I don't need to bleach the covers? Or yes??

  • Don't ever soak in bleach, just agitate it for a few minutes before rinsing.

  • Okay got it. I know I'm asking some stupid questions but I'm new to this, and it's better to ask than to just assume and potentially hurt my baby or ruin my dipes :)
