Swim diapers

So what's the deal with these? Is there something special about them that makes them ok in water? I didn't really think about it until today and ended up letting LO swim in a regular P&N....does this mean its ruined? Just wondering if the chlorine will do something to it? And if swim CDs are necessary?

Some of the cute prints just for swim diapers? That's probably a reason I got a "real" swim diaper. I also don't have that many pockets to begin with, much less delaminates pockets. You could always get a cheap pocket too (alva?). If you buy from Super Stash I think it's even cheaper with no inserts.
