I am not sure if this question is better for PAIF or the HR board (am still formulating our intro post there)... But you guys are my peeps so....
We are now in a pretty high-risk position. Friday I woke up bleeding and after hours in L&D we finally got a dx of a short (< or = 2cm) cervix that showed signs of opening at least once on the scan. Scary stuff. Thankfully, bleeding has stopped and have been on BR since then at home and we will check again tomorrow.
So my question: if one more OB or Dr tells me that they can't dx an incompetent cervix if it's my first pregnancy, or if they won't treat it the same because we haven't had a loss yet -- I AM GOING TO LOSE MY MIND!
That is honestly what scares me the 2nd most: that we aren't being treated the same because these are our first babies. We also went through hell to get them. No one was completely callous about it, but I do get the sense that the plan of treatment is significantly different/more aggressive after a loss than it feels like they are considering now and that kills me, I want to do everything we can for these babies....
Anyone had a similar conversation with a Dr? Or been in a similar place? How do you navigate that?
