2 audio monitors

I have a 22 mo old and a 3 week old. I really didn't want a video monitor, but there are no audio monitors that cover 2 rooms. Our house is large, and it's very hard to hear anything that's happening upstairs when we are in the family room or kitchen in our house, so we weren't ready to let the 22 mo old go with no monitor. We had a cheapo Samsung audio monitor. We just bought a VTech audio monitor for the baby's room. We didn't think this would work because of interference. But we installed the second monitor yesterday, and they actually work! So for anyone else with that dilemma, you can have 2 audio monitors simultaneously. And since our new audio monitor was about $60 at Target, we saved at least $200 over getting a two-room video set-up.
