What's making you smile this morning?

I'm happy b/c DH finally got the nursery almost painted. DS1 and I are going to a pool party this afternoon so he can finish painting and hopefully replace the outlets. We've still got about 9 weeks to get everything done by my doc's estimate, but I'm not so sure. I feel like someone sneaked DS2 a mini-shovel and when he's not sleeping, he's trying to tunnel out.

Also, I was smiling for a little while b/c I thought I had found another good name for our short list. Who doesn't love Corbin for a boy's name? DH, that's who.

I'm in a spectacular mood today.  Yesterday, we finally got our porch set up with furniture and, after DS went to bed, DH and I hung out there all night and stayed up late talking like old times.  It was really fun.

Then today we decided at the last minute to do a really low key birthday dinner for DS on his actual birthday with both sets of grandparents.  This weekend, we're going to go away for a couple of nights and take him to an amusement park that's geared towards little kids.  It's going to be so much fun for him.  I'm going to see if I can find a birthday shirt for him to wear that day.

Tomorrow, I think I'm going to paint our porch a neutral color so I can pick any fabric I want for recovering the pillows on the furniture.  Right now, it's an orange color.  It's not a bad shade, but I don't want to have to find something that matches.  I have almost a whole gallon of grey leftover from repainting a bedroom and I'm going to use that so it won't cost me anything except my time Oh, and I have to bake a cake...

G is sleeping peacefully. D is playing a game with a friend in the basement. DH is out talking to the neighbor. I'm bumping, drinking a smoothie, and eating leftover dessert from last night.

@unaveragejane‌ I babysat a Corbin when I was a teenager. He was adorable, but very very naughty. Maybe you dodged a bullet on that one. He he he.

Imms to have awesome friends who give you gifts like this adorable diaper! Imms to have a sweet baby like P to put the diaper on. And imms that LO took a huge poop immediately after I put this diaper on her because 1) it means she's getting enough milk and 2) the diaper didn't leak!

IMMS that we got a second dresser for G's room to use as a diaper storage/changing table to clear out space for Little No-Name's clothes (because girl has A LOT of clothes...).

On the other side of things, we might be moving at the end of August (and by might I mean, we know nothing other than that it's a possibility), and DH has taken that and ran with it. He's in full-on purge-all-the-stuff and house hunting mode, so I'm gearing up for life to be something of a whirlwind for the next few months (or at least until we get a definite yes or no). With that, though, we have a weekend trip planned next weekend, and I'm really excited. We haven't gone anywhere since December, and I'm getting antsy

@ElleBeeDub - I was talking to my mom on the phone this morning, and I said something about kind of freaking out that DH and I aren't agreeing on any names right now. DS1 heard me say, "We have no name," and the rest of the morning he kept running around saying, "No name! No name!" It made me think of your posts. Have you really not picked a name or just waiting until she is born to reveal?

@unaveragejane We really don't have a name There'a a short list, but we won't decide officially until she's born. I was dead-set on naming G Lincoln (although DH didn't agree until after he was born), but once I saw him, it just didn't suit him at all. After that, I stopped stressing so much about pre-naming  

That... and DH and I can't agree on names to save our lives. We essentially have complete opposite taste in everything, especially baby names.

Imms. Im smiling because DH actually had the day off and we are doing something fun with it, not house work. We have friends over, my dad and the neighbor. Had a Cajun crawfish boil, and now everyone at the tanks finishing. Such a great day. I'm bumping because it got a little hot for dd so we came in so she could play with toys. I love days like this would never end.

I just realized that I made it to my goal of 6 months for exclusive breast feeding. I'm not stopping at this point. But it makes me smile that things worked out better this time and that I haven't been struggling too bad with pumping.
