Caffeine and BF

Question. Does anyone notice a change in your LO if you have caffeine and then BF?

I drank caffeine while pregnant but now I notice DS getting fussy and almost wired shortly after.

Just curious to see if anyone experiences the same?

I drink 1-2 caffeinated drinks per say and don't notice any issues.

I have not but it varies from baby to baby. How much are you drinking? Kellymom has a chart to show the half-life and has info on BFing and caffeine if you're interested.

I never drank a lot. Just a coke a day. So about 100mg. I stopped coffee after I got pregnant.

I find it so weird since I drank it during pregnancy and it never got him moving crazily.

I could swing a cup of tea a day with the kid, but this baby gets jittery and wired if I have anything.

We've had words over this. So not cool.

My Pedi recommended the same for BFZing as my midwife did for pregnancy: one cup a day or 300mg or less. DS isn't showing any negative impacts or aversions to my milk.

Pay attn to your LO: s/he will let you know if it's an issue.

No issues thus far with my cup or two of coffee a day. Not even lo waking up or being wired. Still sleepy little guy.

DS1 was always wired/fussy if I had caffeine even though I had the same amount all through my pregnancy.

Glad I'm nt the only one. At first I thought it was the d-drop but it's caffeine. DH is thrilled I have to give it up.
