are both a playard and a crib necessary for a newborn? can they sleep in a playard or no? of course, if both is necessary, i would get both but if i could save money for other things like the baby's medical care or other important things, i would rather do that.
Re: playard or crib? both necessary?
We stopped having the pack n play up after about 10months because LO was pulling herself up to standing/ attempting to climb out. There are a ton of options out there & you might have friends who're willing to pass along (or sell at discount) gently used items. There are also less expensive versions of a pack n play, doesn'thave the changing table but is equally good for $60 price point. If you can, read reviews on the specific models you're considering because some are harder to fold than others.
LO is almost 1 1/2 and we've barely used her crib (ended up cosleeping - works for us for the most part, however is not for everyone). So if we had stuck with the original plan of just a pack n play, probably could have worked. Would skip mini cribs though.
