Early + Opk and frustrated...

I had a feeling things were happening down there and sure enough CD 10 and I have a + opk. This is a little early for me, I'm usually day 12. I'm overall just frustrated, DH and I can't seem to get our act together. We definately want to have sex but life just seems to be getting in the way lately! I figured we should last night because I had some cramping and EWC, but DS had other plans, is teething and wouldn't go to sleep until 10pm last night. By then DH and I were both exhausted and had other things we needed to do, then DS woke up again at 12:30am.  It just wasn't going to happen and now it will probably be too late since I'll likely ovulate sometime today. I feel like with how crazy our schedule and life is this is never going to happen and that makes me sad.... just feeling frustrated today, thanks for listening ladies..

Maybe I'm not reading this right, but shouldn't you have sex tonight for your best shot? It doesn't sound like you have missed it yet. A + OPK will say that your body is gearing up to O. Are you temping?

I know there's still a shot but I've always had the best luck having sex the day before a +opk because I usually ovulate pretty fast after getting my surge..Not temping yet, I have previously maybe I'll try next month.

I don't envy you the teething...oh not happy days:(... My re said to bd day before, day of and day after. He said some women release the egg sooner than others after the LH surge but almost all eggs live 24 hrs after....so hopefully you still have a good chance!

Hmm- my OB had recommended 4 straight days after a positive opk. It worked the month after we met with him. However, it has not been working lately so we have changed our strategy. Hopefully you're still in the game. I know what you mean about life in the way. My DH works so much and I feel like sometimes BD is part of his work schedule.

Hmm. Sorry to hear. Try for a quickie! Is he able to perform when so tired?

I'm just finishing my period so starting to think about timing strategies myself. We kinda tired each other out last month too early.

Had anyone tried mucinex? I'm so sensitive to medicines I took it once when I had bronchitis and it made my saliva all yucky and over the top.sooo much! Dont know what it would feel like when healthy. ??

Thanks for the encouragement ladies, Its just not going to happen this month. Not only was DS a mess all weekend, I was also not feeling well today at all, on top of everything we're moving in a week and beyond stressed about getting everything done and then getting settled again. Normally I would soldier on no matter what but just couldn't muster the energy today. On the positive side, I think being in a brand new place might get us into the grove again so on to the next cycle!

I'm sorry, @Sidey. Baby teething and wake ups can be brutal even without the stress of moving. I hope that next month goes smoothly.
