I feel so stuck in every aspect of life right now and it's beyond frustrating. I have been subbing at this school district for a year now, I just found out the new administration just hired teachers they know personally from their old districts-I didn't even get an interview!!! I don't think anyone did but the people they wanted. All the teachers were shocked and mad with me which helped a tiny bit. I was fine subbing last year bc we were doing fertility, now that we put it on hold I wanted to focus on other aspects of my life again. Now I feel like job and baby are both dead ends. I live in Pa so for one teaching job a district will get over 2,000 applications (at least in my area.) I interviewed for another district but then found out they're actually cutting 27 teaching positions. So now I'm thinking maybe we start looking at donors in August, but I'm not feeling hopeful about anything anymore. Hopefully it's just a bad day and I'll get over it :(

    DH (32): SA is ok, slightly low morph, normal SCSA  Me (32): Slightly low progesterone, hostile CM, carrier for CF, Moderately high NKC, High TNFa, heterozyogous mutated Factor XIII, and +APA

    October 2012-May 2014: 4 failed IUIs, 3 failed IVFs, and 1 failed FETw/donor embryos

    November 2014: IVF w/ICSI #4 Agonist/Antagonist with EPP and Prednisone, Baby Aspirin, Lovenox, and IVIG for immune issues.  Converted to freeze all due to lining issues.  2 blasts frozen on day 6!

    January 2015: FET #2 Cancelled due to lining issues

    April 2015: FET #2.1

    I graduated top of my class and went for science and math qualifications to increase my chances. I am still having trouble finding a teacher job anywhere near my house. I've been commuting almost 90 miles each way for the past 6 years. FX something pops up.

    Wow, 2000 applications for one position is crazy! I can see why you feel discouraged. Can you apply to private schools as well? I know some parts of PA are close to NJ. Would your certification allow you to teach in NJ?

    @grateful&thankful NJ is just as bad for teaching jobs, and once you get a job here, you need to move to NJ within a few months. And our big, bad governor is trying to single-handedly get rid of the pension.  Probably better off continuing the search in PA.

    I'm close to maryland but again it's a difficult situation bc they don't have districts but hire by county. It just sucks, I deserved a chance. If I had a job it would make paying for all of our treatments a lot easier.

    ***siggy warning I'm sorry and I've been on that side of it before. I don't know why and it's shitty but my district never hires our subs. To be able to network you might want to consider going elsewhere and looking for long term positions. Seek out principals and tell them your looking for long term. This helps build your resume and holds greater responsibility and allows them to really see you work. I also know a few people that have went to work for companies that provide educational material...option if you need more money.

    :( I'm so sorry, that really sucks. My H just got shafted on a mgmt rotation which he wanted to help build his resume since we're both losing our jobs in January. I hope you can find something better that you wouldn't have been able to do otherwise.

    Thanks girls, last year I didn't want anything full time so I'd have flexibility to cycle. But now I just felt like moving on and putting fertility second, maybe that's not how it's supposed to go after all. Still think it's crappy they didn't give me an interview since I've long termed for them several times and do summer school each year...but I can't be pissed forever, just need to move on!

    DS IUI#1-2 (9/12, 10/12) - BFN

    DS IVF: (11/12) - BFN

    DE/DS IVF#1: (10/13) - 2 day 3 embies transferred-BFFN

    FET of 2 day 6 blasts: (12/13) - c/p

    DE/DS IVF #2: (4/14) - 1 day 5 blast transferred...BFFN...again.
