DH is going on a camping trip this weekend which means I get to be lazy, lay on the couch and watch stuff on netflix. So are there any good documentaries I should watch? Baby related or otherwise...
Blackfish was on at the gym last night and I watched it for about 2.5 seconds before I started to choke up. I had to change the channel before I started blubbering on the elliptical.
I watched the business of being born...it wasa little one sided and i think scares a lot of women about birthing in a hospital. However i did find it really interesting how births were handled and how they introduced drugs in the delivery room.
Baby-related ones: The science of babies, More business of being born -it goes into a lot more than the original one did A doula story- about a doula in Detroit It's a girl- about the treatment of girls in India and China (only watch the last two if you are in the mood for a cry)
Non baby ones A place at the table- about americas food deserts America the beautiful- this one is ok
I just watched Bronies last night, it was so awkward. We spent most of the time making comments about the whole thing. I tend to watch more depressing documentaries about prostitutes and drugs, so not the best stuff so watch alone.
Baby/parenting related: The Other F word https://www.theotherfwordmovie.com Honestly though, this is a fantastic one to watch with DH. We watched it together last year when we were in the early stages of trying to get pregnant and it def brought a tear to his eye. It's about a bunch of middle aged punk musicians (essentially a lot bands we both listened to as teenagers) who are now parents who are trying to be really good role models to their children while still acknowledging their... Well let's say colorful pasts.
After watching this we were in a music mood so I am pretty sure immediately watched Sound City and It Might Get Loud.
