S/o pocket question

In the poll posted below a lot of people said that they hate pockets and I am just curious as to why. I only use pockets, AIOs and AI2s so I have no experience with other types to compare it with. I've really liked pockets so far so I'm just wondering what I'm missing!

I don't hate them, but if I did it would be because they are annoying to stuff and because they are harder to get clean than flats and prefolds. Also I have recently decided I really hate suede cloth. It makes G all sweaty. So there's that.

DS is super skinny and our pockets mostly leaked until he was 8-10 months. If we only had pockets I would have quit. They just weren't reliable for almost the first year.

I hate pockets because of the stuffing and unstuffing. I still use them stuffed with flats, but it's just an extra step to stuff it and then only get one use out if it.

I hated the idea of pockets and AIOs originally, but then at around 10-11 months I started liking them more (usage wise) but I started hating mf around that time so I hated stuffing with the mf. When I started stuffing with the flats I started liking the whole thing better. Then I did the f&hc and started liking pinned flats too so now I do a mix of pockets and pinned flats depending on what's going on and who will be changing him. I do sometimes use my pockets as covers even though I have 8 covers since a pocket used as a cover is no harder to wash than a SoftBums shell. I still don't like the AIOs.

oh no, CLLDLL has gone to the sweaty side!

i hate pockets because of the stuffing.  it didn't seem like a big deal to me at first, but by the time i had two in cloth it was just one extra step in my life that I didn't need.

I was wondering if someone would catch that. I almost didn't type it because I felt silly. But he really doesn't get as much air as he does with natural fibers.

The stuffing and like MK said, the giant camel toe. Plus they always leaked for us.

Thanks for your replies everyone! I knew I wanted to try CDing and I had one fried who used ACs (and sold me some discounted shells to try) and one who used BGs so I started there but there is so much more out there!

Although I prefer flats with a cover, I like pockets because my husband loves them and will use them.

If we'd done only flats or prefolds I don't know that he'd have agreed to using cloth.

Also pockets are great for when you're out and about and need to change a diaper.  Also, I find people are more likely to want to chat about them since they look less intimidating than flats or prefolds.

I love my pockets right now because Logan is so wiggly, he messes up my inserts in his cover. It's annoying, so I am using pockets right now.

I love everything. But I switched all my pockets to natural fibers.

If I had a choice, I'd use flats and prefolds all the time. However, daycare doesn't use them.
