Stupid question - Thirsties

edited May 2014 in Cloth Diapering
How do I know whether it would have the new h&l? (ETA ignore this part, I figured it out)

Also what's the verdict on the size 1 AIOs?

  • The new Aplix looks ridiculously large on a newborn.

  • I just want more sized options to help bridge between NB and OS. I was looking at pics of A when she was just fitting into OS and I'm amazed at how huge they look, especially after getting used to how trim they look on a two year old, and now undies. It's a vanity thing, I admit, but it gives the excuse to buy more diapers while I'm at it.

  • It's too bad they seem to have discontinued the Size 1 pockets, because I would recommend them over the AIOs. The weird thing about the AIO is that the way the MF is attached, it basically stops just where the rise snaps start. So as you open up the rise, the absorbent part moves down/back and you don't have a lot of absorbency up front, so it fits a bit weird on a boy.

I seem to remember putting Simplex 2.0s size M on DS at 11-12 lbs and they had a way better fit than any of my OS diapers.

This exactly. My son could never wear their AIOs. They leaked like mad.

I don't know how the AIO compare to the covers, but the duo size 1 cover is a joke on M. I feel like it's going to be a while before they fit her. </blockquote

It probably won't be too long, C wore them pretty much right away, and he was long as skinny too, just a tad bigger. He was 7lb15 oz and 23in.
