First kicks?!?!?!?

I've been waiting with great anticipation to feel the baby move, and the last couple days I've felt something like what it would feel to run your finger across the palm of your hand, but on the inside of my abdomen, and I thought it might be the baby moving around.

Well, just now, I felt what I thought was a muscle twitch at first, but it didn't stop for over 30 seconds - it was like someone poking me with a pencil from the inside. Do you think that was the baby? I'm so excited!!

That twitching feeling is exactly what my baby's first kicks felt like!!   Try drinking a soda, or eating candy and see if it picks up.  I ate so much candy the day I found out that twitching feeling was the baby kicking, it was so awesome I didn't want it to stop!

Sounds like kicks to me! Congrats!! It just gets more and more exciting from here. Soon you will be able to watch your belly rolling!

Just curious, since I've never been pg yet... why would candy make the baby kick more?  Sounds interesting!

Your baby can get a sugar rush just like you can    It also happens when I drink caffene!

Sounds like kicks to me. Have a glass of juice and you'll really get things moving. I used to drink cranberry juice and then just sit back and watch my belly roll.

Sounds like movement to me, and you are at the right point of pregnancy to feel it. My first movements felt like gas bubbles, but when there was no gas and they kept up, I figured out that it was the baby. Congrats! Like others said, it is really cool once you start to see movement from the outside.

I felt sort of a zipping feeling - like a bubble runnig across the inside.  So it sounds like what you're describing.   fun!
