Re: ~The Benched Check-In~ May 23, 2014

  • Hi ladies!!!

AF is done, yay!!! Still on the bench, but at least DH and I can still do TI (and hope for a miracle?) I wish though AF had started a few days later, since I was hoping that timing wise, I'd either be about to start AF or on CD1 when we have our appointment in July (since I'm hoping we can start IVF asap, or IUI if DH's SA improved significantly). It doesn't look like it's going to work out that way. I'll probably be around CD 4.

QOTW: As you can tell by my wedding bouquet in my siggy below, I LOVE gerbera daisies and calla lillies! :D Too bad our cats love to eat flowers, otherwise I'd have some in the house!

    1.
What brings you over to the bench? Had an Ectopic Pregnancy last cycle that was treated with Methotrexate.

    2. How long will you be staying with us? 2-3 Months

    3. How do you feel about being benched?  Totally bites!!  It's actually kinda funny that I'm so upset by being benched.  DH and I said if this cycle didn't work, we were gonna take a break anyway.  Plan was to take a break but to hope that by some act of God it would naturally happen (real reason was to focus on getting healthier). But being told that we are under no circumstance allowed to get pregnant for 2-3 months just feels totally backwards.

QOTW:  I love Iris'.  Purple and yellow ones.  They were my main wedding flower.

  • Hi everyone, hugs for all that need them.

@kallygirlie sorry to hear about your ectopic loss ((hugs))

@caterinac best of luck to you ttc, glad you can burn the bench!

I finally have a confirmed O on CD30 after my D&C, so I guess I should be expecting AF in about 10-12 days and then I can at least have the feeling that I am not stuck in place.  I'm looking forward to putting the HSG behind me and moving on with things whether that means surgery if something is structurally wrong on the HSG or going back to TTC.  I've had several days lately where I have just been so sad related to my losses and short tempered with my husband due to the emotional stress. We have been trying very hard to be aware of our emotions and try not to take it out on each other, but sometimes its a struggle.  On a positive note, we have been trying to do some fun things to keep our spirits up like going for hikes, having friends over, cooking out, ect.

I love lillies.  I also really like to plant perennials that are really unique looking (think dr suess style plants). I suck at remembering plant names, but I love to garden.

Everything is pretty much the same here, still on the bench until I can get in with the endocrinologist, then follow up again with my RE.  So mid-July.  I gotta say, I thought I would hate not doing anything but it's actually been really nice.  I'm eating what I want, drinking what I want, not going in for ultrasounds every other day.  It's like a vacation!
QOTW: This is tough since my parents own a greenhouse business and I grew up surrounded by flowers.  Petunias and gerber daisies probably win out but I think they're all so pretty!

  • We are still on the bench until who knows how long.  We are pretty sure we are going to have to go back to IVF but going to try on our own until then.  I did ovulation tests Fri-Tues and all came back negative.  If I was "normal" I would sure think I did ovulate with the achy feelings and some discharge I had Monday.  I'm not holding my breath on this happening on our own and I'll believe the "it happens when you quit trying" when it actually happens like that!  I think I would have a mild stroke if I got a positive pregnancy test on my own! ha

We always plant a big garden of veggies and finally got that in last weekend.  I usually do a couple pots on my deck but just pick some cheap pretty flowers and attempt not to kill them the first week!  I'm much better with the veggies!
