Clicky - What do you prefer for your stash? Pockets or Fitteds?

Making this a poll so it takes less time to answer I'm currently trying to build up my stash for baby #3, and can't decide between going with mostly pockets and a few fitteds, or mostly fitteds with a few (if any at all) pockets. I'm already going to be getting at least one dozen prefolds, probably two so I'll have extras to use for more than diapers. My contenders are workhorse cotton fitteds with various covers until I find one that we love vs Rump-a-Rooz pockets. Thoughts, opinions or other recommendations are welcome!

This is specifically for OS - I'm skipping a NB stash this time around.

Dang. Can I change my answer? NB stage I'd choose fitteds, but for OS I choose SS (AI2/flats/prefolds with pockets for DC).

I voted pockets over fitteds, but we mostly use prefolds. I think it just depends on what your use is. Pockets are for babysitters around here, and I got tired of ppl not being able to snappi (or just complain about them), leave part of the fitted out of the over, or other crazy things (trying to stuff the wings into the flip cover). So I invested in more pockets. I don't feel like I can justify the extra cost of a fitted nowadays for us when we just use prefolds. We don't even snappi anymoresince starting solids.

I think some of it will also depend on whether your LO has a wetness sensitivity or not.  If LO doesn't mind being wet, fitted might be fine.

I voted SS, because I'm with @CLLDLL, prefolds mostly, but pockets for daycare.  Although since I won some AI2s, we're currently using those a lot since LO will not sit still long enough for me to put a prefold and a cover on him.

For us, fitteds are a must-have for ON. I could live without my pockets, but I do like to stuff them with flats, which has been great for travel and the various laundry setups we find ourselves using. So, I think your poll needs an all of the above option.

The first time I cloth diapered I thought I was going to love pockets above all else. But they seem to always smell slightly no matter what I do. And stuffing gets old. I prefer prefolds and fitteds, and id much rather have a cute print in a cover than a pocket, do they can wear it longer.

Really though if the print is cute enough I'll buy whatever. Hence the 7 tots bots I recently got.

I hate stuffing (and unstuffing!) pockets. I love covers/AI2s...either with an insert or a flat pad folded and thrown in. AIOs are nice, but bulky and hard to fit them in the diaper bag.

I love my GMD workhorses. They are my favorite. Then prefolds, then my BG 4.0s, stuffed with prefolds. But I get more random pee leaks with the BGs. Prefolds/fitteds and a cover are bulletproof so far-LO is 2 months.

I hate I sticking poop from a fitted ( even with a liner). But fitteds are just working so much better for us these last few months. A year ago my answer would have been the opposite. If I went back in time I don't think I would get rid of the pockets. I prefer them when we go out and for the in between poop phase.

We love our pockets and you can always use them as a cover with a flat inside if you really want to!

Except you can't really re-use it like you would a cover...

I said pockets. Truth be told I just ordered my first fitted today. Gave in and ordered a twinky tush I eyed last week and was still available today. So my vote could change. I do plan to get a couple workhorse but the TT took my diaper budget for the month
