Cloth Diapering

Prepping used diapers

So I used cloth for my DD who is over 4. I pulled them out of storage recently. My new baby is due in July. I remember how to wash but what needs to be done before the new baby wears them? Thanks for any advice it's been a while!

  • Thanks I will likely bleach them. They were stored in a heavy duty cardboard box in the attic. And will check out the elastic.

  • I only bleach if I buy from strangers. I would just do a regular wash if they were my own.

    Just regular Clorox bleach?
    What kind of wash? Hot/warm/cold?
And do I still use Tide powder?

Yup (in fact, make sure you don't get any of the "color safe" ones, you want chlorine bleach).
    I like hot.
I would, but you don't have to if they're already clean.
