I'm about 5 weeks pregnant and Monday my HCG level was 884. By Wednesday they had went up to 1374 (which isn't double).
The nurse said my Dr. would've liked the number to be higher but she thought they'd be over 2,000 in no time. I'm scheduled for another blood test today, so I'm hoping/praying the number is up.
Is it a big deal if you don't double every 48 hours? God, I just want to quit worrying that this lil' thing isn't going to stick. I'd really love to just relax and start telling certain people that we're pregnant, but every time I turn around, it seems like my confidence gets yanked out from under me again. Ugh!
Thanks ladies!!

Re: Do my numbers "have" to double???
It seems like you have strong numbers. Every person is different and every pregnancy is different.

If your doctor has ordered the test yet, they probably won't do it. I believe that most doctors just do it in the beginning before anything would be visible on an ultrasound. For example, mine stops testing when your hCG gets to 1500 which for me was just about 5 weeks.

Thanks! I appreciate it.
