those of you without AC

We just started moving into our new apartment today, and I noticed that C's room doesn't have AC. I don't plan on having her in her room that often, but I'm worried about nights. It gets pretty mild at night (70's for night on hottest days). I'm just wondering if I should invest in a AC unit, or just buy a good fan? I guess I could always put the AC on in the living room and have it circulate if it's really hot? Am I over thinking this?
