Workout

Had the best week I have had in a long time. Got up all five days to workout before work and went for 2 3-mile runs. Eating was spot on. Weekend should be good, going out with DH for dinner tonight, not sure where. Dinner with a friend tomorrow night, going to go for sushi. I'll they to stick to some sashimi and a little brown rice. Sunday we are having friends over. I was thinking of putting some meat in the smoker and making one of my favorite summer salads (baby spinach, blueberries, feta, watermelon, fresh mint, and a lemon/honey vinegrette). I'll have to think of something else, but they like to eat healthy too.

Re: Workout

  • My eating has been shit. But I did finally work out again today!!! I finally broke the work out dry spell! Now, if I could only break this unhealthy gravitation to McDonald's sausage mcmuffin with egg.

  • Just finished week 6 of C25k (I'm right behind you @ThisIsBrea‌!), including my first run outside. I thought it would be harder than the treadmill but it was actually easier though that might have been bc I had the dog with me to focus on (Slow down! Stop pulling! Leave that! Let's go!).

  • I have done really well as well. Iam ending week 2 of T25 tonight. This is the furthest I have ever gone in the program! Yesterday I went on a 3 mile walk, and burned over 600 calories in 45 minutes. Then I went home, and did T25 Cardio, and I burned another 337 calories doing that as well. Iam sore as hell today, but I must get my work out in tonight. Tomorrow iam planning on going for a run outside for the first time since last fall. This will also be my first run at a higher altitude, so iam not expecting much from it because it is harder to breath.

I'm also thinking that I might take DH and the kids to our favorite hiking spot, hike around, and have a small picnic.

  • This week has been a 1000% improvement over last week. I'm eating well (except a couple days I actually didn't eat enough calories), and I've worked out 5 of 6 days. Today I did week 2 day 2 of C25K, then 30 minutes of a NYC Ballet workout DVD. I feel really great.

  • Awesome, I wish I had your conviction. I am, however, going to stick to my workout routine today. Missed last week and Monday, but at least I'll have gotten in 2 days. Working on my upper body. Figure I'll need it when the kid arrives.

  • I have my half marathon in a little over a week so I've been training a lot. But my eating has been crazy. I just get so hungry after my long runs. I should make healthier choices.
  • May I join? My week hasn't been great (somehow I convinced myself that I deserved a McDonald's breakfast yesterday...) but I did really well today! I stuck to my calorie count and I did my 3 mile run outside. I have high hopes for next week, though. I should be able to get in a good workout 4 days next week.

How do you burn 600 calories on a 45 minute walk? @lildevil968
The trail that I walk on is 80% uphill.
