so annoyed!!!

So I had my Dr appt today and I'm still 4cm at 38wks 4days!! I've been at 4cm since 2wks ago. Im so sick of hearing "pretty soon. When ur contractions are 10mins apart come in." Well I have gone to the Hosp twice and right back home I go uncomfortable, tired, and annoyed! When is it going to be over!? #sadface

Congrats to those that had their bundle of joy already!! I wish u all well and the best!!

Average time for FTMs is 12 days post-EDD. You're not even 40 weeks yet. Chillax.

Thank u for the references, but if I wanted to reply to those posts I would have.

I will be 39 weeks on Sunday so that's not that far away. If I could chill or relax I would. Its easier said than done, especially when ur given false hope.

No one has given you "false hope." They've told you the truth - no one knows when you'll go into labor. You're at 38w4d. If you were at 42w, sure, I'd understand your frustration, but you're barely even "term" at this point (didn't they change that to 38w6d?)

What's annoying me this week? I'm "annoyed" at the number of women on this board who are ending up having their babies early because of medical necessity and emergent situations. I'm one of them. Considering this is the JUNE board, the fact we've had so many May babies is a little surprising. And I'm "annoyed" at the curse that seems to keep hitting the board with early births. Luckily almost all of our babies are just fine, but I'm annoyed that pre-eclampsia keeps happening to some wonderful ladies.

And you. You're annoying me too.

Oh, and grammar. The inability to spell out words. The use of an apostrophe to make a word plural. That kind of thing. But that's not just this week. That is always.

I don't understand when women get annoyed that they're still pregnant at 38 weeks. That's a blessing that not all women on here were afforded. Yes third trimester sucks but you're close to the end, chill out and respect that your body is only 4cm and your baby is reaching its potential by being in there as long as possible.

The references were given to you because you are much less likely to get flamed and/or snark if you post things in the proper places...

And for the record, be happy you are still pregnant at 38w. You may want to do a little research into our little group and see that we have had a lot of preemie babies, so we don't have much sympathy for those who complain about being still pregnant. (Not about the symptoms but about actually being pregnant.)

It's a blessing. Appreciate it.

@chickpea12‌ One the false hope comes from Drs checking u and telling u oh it going to happen this weekend or later on today and it doesnt. I had a preterm baby as well. My water broke at 30wks and I stayed in the Hosp 3wks until I delivered. If i have annoyed u.... O well. Don't comment. I have the right to post whatever I want and instead of y'all being BITCHES how about some words of encouragement. Women r suppose to uplift each other and tear them down. We are all having hormone issues. Not to be used as an excuse...

No one can TELL you when you are going to go into labor. Sure they can speculate all they want, but no one knows for sure until they are IN LABOR. (Except for those having scheduled csections etc.)
So the doc can guess all they want "it might be today or tomorrow", but you won't know til it actually happens. Enjoy your baby being inside you. Yeah, contractions are a bitch, but relax and stay calm until they are 10 minutes apart, like your doc said.

I would try to tag OP, but I don't have the energy to figure out "0"s from "O"s.

I'd rather respond to you and be annoyed than drag out my pump again in a seemingly futile attempt to get my milk to a point where I can nourish my child.

Doctors aren't omniscient. They can't tell you when you'll go into labor. They can guess, but they have no idea. I hope your baby comes when he/she is ready and you have an easy and safe delivery. If you don't like our board, don't feel the need to remain.

Ladies, I'm not complaining about being 38 weeks pregnant. I know this is a blessing seems how I have never made it this far. I'm excited about that.

For all of ur information, I have been a member since 2012 when I was pregnant with my second son. So this is not a fake profile. Who has time to create a fake profile on the bump? Lol. I mean really.

@Rachel5130‌ Actually as far as I knew they had to deliver baby within like 24 orb48 hours of the water breaking because of the risk of infection to baby... sooooo..... if that's really what happened I hope she sued.

Oh my. OP don't go to the hospital until your contractions are 5 min apart, last at least a minute, and this is consistent for an hour. I would think they would tell you that considering they keep sending you home, but hey, stupid likes stupid. And you are complaining about still being pregnant, something I wish for every day. So stfu, thanks. Your baby will come when he or she is ready, so yes, RELAX. You are not doing anyone any favors by freaking out about it, except giving me something to read while I nurse my preemie.
