labial adhesions-what's cd safe?

At LO's check up the doctor said she had small adhesions and she gently separated them in the office and suggested putting a Vaseline "plug" in between with each diaper change. What could I substitute that's CD safe? We use mostly prefolds if that matters-or should I just make some liners? Anyone have experience with this?

Grandma El's is really similar in consistency to Vaseline.  I've never used Waxelene but isn't it pretty similar too, ladies?  I think the only difference is maybe that Vaseline has a slightly higher melting point but I might be wrong.

I have cjs lavender would that be ok? Or maybe plain coconut oil? Or would that not be "thick" enough?

Try it. Check at every change to see if they are saying seperated.  I would think if you put enough, often enough it should work.
