Speaking of phases

We've hit a really big jealous phase. She even gets angry when the cat jumps in my lap on the couch if she's playing across the room. Also, she's started the phase that probably won't end till her late teens of "mommy, mommy, mommy, mommy, mommy, mom, mom, mom, mom, mom, mama, mama, mama, mama" until I acknowledge what she's said. For example, our "conversation" in the car last night.

DD: Mommy, blue car!

Me: Yeah baby, that's right!

DD: Mommy, BLUE car.

Me: MmHmm

DD: Mommy blue car, blue car, Mommy blue car, blue car, mommy, mommy, mommy, mommy, mommy
Me: Yes, sweetie it IS BLUE.

DD: Yeah, Blue

Me: *smh*

My mistake was clearly not repeating verbatim what she said. You'd think I wouldn't make that mistake again, but I forget a lot and suffer the consequences.

DS will repeat things over and over and over again too but even when I repeat exactly what he said he'll continue to repeat it. Right now he's obsessed with pointing out schoolbuses and trucks and vans, so anytime we are driving there is no such thing as silence from the back seat.

DD does the same things. Only to her school buses are "bumble buses."

DD makes me repeat everything she says until I get it right too!

This is Cortlan right now too! She gets sooo excited about school buses, so pretty much our entire morning drive is her pointing them out, lol.

DD does the same thing.  It cracks me up and drives me crazy at the same time.  She is obsessed with watching cars, trucks, tractors, semis...anything that goes by so she and the cat are often watching the road from the window yelling out what is about to go past the house.
