Hi ladies! I posted an intro a few weeks back and mentioned that I had been given an end-of-the-line infertility diagnosis due to severe Asherman's. I was told that this wasn't the right place for me, but I've since had my world turned upside down again, and all may not be lost.
About me (again): I'm Dakotah, 29, married for 5 years to my DH Andy. We have a 2.5 year old DD rainbow, and have a history of m/mc. My Asherman's was caused by a badly botched D&C that landed me in the hospital for a few days back in Dec of 2011. (I'm pursuing legal action.) We found out that I have very severe Asherman's around August of 2013, and I had multiple SHGs and ultrasounds prior to surgery in Oct 2013 and again in Jan 2014. We were told to give up in January, and I've been living a nightmare for the last four months. Thanks to an old TTCAL friend and a journal article she sent me, I was empowered to go back and talk to my RE about another round of surgery. I saw my RE yesterday and he agreed that we should do an ultrasound-guided third round of surgery, but when I mentioned that the International Asherman's Association had recommended a doctor two states over he agreed it made sense to see him. My RE trained under Dr. Isaacson in Newton MA, who is considered one of very few Asherman's experts in the world, and he sent an email to him yesterday asking him to see me. We were able to connect right away and he got me in to do another hysteroscopy on June 2nd. I've heard nothing but good things about Dr. Isaacson and I have a glimmer of hope that maybe this isn't over for us yet.
I hope you'll have me here. This roller coaster ride is better shared.

Insanity! I hope all moves quickly and smoothly! If surgery works what will be your course of action? Will it be straight IVF? Hoping all the legal goes smoothly and quickly too- that can really bring you through the ringer alone!!!

It has been a crazy ride. We will TTC naturally post surgery if it goes well. My DH is really concerned about more losses, and my health. It took us almost a year to conceive the baby we lost in 2010, but we did it naturally. I don't have any other fertility factors that we are aware of. I suspect we will have to monitor my lining thickness if it's even possible to do a corrective surgery. We hope to hear about the next step legally next week.
