So my entire family has been passing around this 24 hour stomach bug, and last night I ended up with it. Spent almost 12 hours throwing up so badly that I actually started having contractions. Thankfully my husband had just gotten over his the day before so was in full nurse mode. I was so happy that I didn't go into labor while my husband was sick because it would have been horrible if they refused to allow him in the delivery room because of it, I didn't even think about how horrible I would end up feeling if I got it. Was getting scared after not being able to hold down even water for 10 hours that I called the midwife and she told me if I couldn't keep down water soon they would have to admit me to the hospital and start me on fluids. Never more in these last couple weeks have I wanted baby to not come more than I did today! Thankfully the contractions subsided and I could finally keep down water, it was such a relief!
Re: The Flip Side, Not wanting baby to come out!
I hope you and DH are both feeling better! The flu that went around this year was seriously the worst I've ever been sick. EVER.
