Blankets?

Random question I was just thinking about...when can you start putting blankets and stuffed animals in the crib with LO?

Realized I have no clue!

I don't know what the guidelines are but ds didn't start sleeping with a blanket until we moved him to a toddler bed at oh something like 20 mos. He still uses a sleep sack though since he kicks his covers off. He started wanting to sleep with some stuffed animals a couple months later. His choice, I didn't/don't feel the need to put animals in his bed just for kicks.

The guideline is 12 months but I didn't put anything in DS and DD1 crib until around 18 to 20 months because I wasn't comfortable with It until then.
