Hi everybody! 

I'm new here. I'm 37, my DH is 39, and we've been TTC since last September. I've been using OPKs and trying at least three times in my fertile period.

We've had an initial few rounds of tests - a bit of bloodwork and a transvaginal ultrasound for me, and a semen analysis for DH. Everything for DH looks good, but they found a possible uterine septum during my US. I also may have a tubal blockage due to a childhood ruptured appendix. My HSG is next week, and I'm pretty nervous. Once that's completed, we'll talk about an action plan with our doctor.

Anyway, I'm new here, so please be gentle while I get settled in. Thanks!
Me: 38 DH: 40 TTC#1 (and likely only) since 9/13. Saw RE 5/14, SA good, AMH 2.36, FSH 7.2, estradiol 69.6 indicating good egg reserve. Using OPKs. First Letrozole cycle 6/14, a burst cyst and a BFN. Second Letrozole cycle 7/14, BFN. 

Update 11/14 - had laparoscopy 10/28, good news is that my uterus and left tube look good, and they were able to drain the cyst on my left ovary. Bad news is that right tube and ovary have endo and scar tissue, so they're pretty useless.. Best news is that we finally have some answers and a path forward. Taking 7.5 mg letrozole CD 2-6 to put that good left ovary through its paces. 

UPDATE 2/2015 - We switched to another fertility clinic, but fortunately we don't have to start all over. We're doing two cycles of Clomid plus IUI, if neither of those take, we'll do IVF in April, potentially with ICSI. (DH's SA has gone downhill, likely due to excessive exercise.) IUI#1 2/25/15....

    Thanks! The HSG has me a bit freaked out. I mean, it's weird enough to think about semen being shot up there and oozing around, but dye? Ick. Plus, DH can't go with me - it has to happen on Wednesday, and that's a deposition day for him (he's a lawyer).

    Welcome! I'm newer here, too, and have found the ladies so supportive.

    Good luck with your HSG! I just had mine a couple weeks ago. The anticipation was way worse than the pain. 
    Pregnancy Ticker 
    Our TTC Journey: Me: 39 (short luteal phase, hypothyroidism) DH: 41 (no problems)
    Pre-TTC: worked with a physician nutritionist on health improvement to naturally increase LP and get healthy.
    Cycles 1-9: Supplemented with progesterone during LP and acupuncture. All BFN's. 
    Cycle 10: switched to a new RE, medicated IUI and continued acupuncture. BFP! EDD: 2/5/15. Beta 1: 49; Beta 2: 151; Beta 3: 1878. 7w4d HB was 153.

    Welcome!  Good luck with your HSG... I was very nervous before mine and also went alone (DH was traveling that day).  It isn't the most pleasant experience but generally most people don't have too much of problem with it.  Agree with pp - anticipation is the worst!

    Welcome! Don't worry too much about the HSG. I had mine and was on a 3 flight about 3 hours after the procedure. Worst part is when they thread the catheter in and even that was only for a second.

    Hope you enjoy the board and that you are luck enough to have a short stay!

    Thanks everybody! I tend to be a bit of a wuss about medical procedures. Luckily, I'm allowed to take a small dose of sedative beforehand.

    Me: 38 DH: 40 TTC#1 (and likely only) since 9/13. Saw RE 5/14, SA good, AMH 2.36, FSH 7.2, estradiol 69.6 indicating good egg reserve. Using OPKs. First Letrozole cycle 6/14, a burst cyst and a BFN. Second Letrozole cycle 7/14, BFN.

    April 2015: IVF #2.  Microdose Lupron protocol.  16R, 15M, 12F. Transferred 2 5-day blasts 4/12 and froze 4--BFP!  M/C 5/25/15
    August 2015: IVF #3.  14R, 13M, 11F.  Froze 5 blasts for CCS testing.  3 normals.  FET planned for 10/2015.

    Welcome and good luck! The fear of the HSG was worse than the actual procedure...

     IUI #1-#4 BFNs and a few cancelled cycles in the mix.
    - poor responder
    ***Suprise BFP on 6/13/13. Natural MC @6wks 3days
    IVF#1 and 2- Cancelled due to no response on max stimms
    FET 5/20- BFP
    1st Beta- 641
    2nd beta- 2166
    Sono- TWINS!!!!
    Two Boys! Born January 2015 @36 weeks.  Healthy and no NICU!  So blessed!

    ME:46 MH:44 DE IVF 2014
    Met with RE 4/11. 2 IUI's BFN. DE best option. Switched clinics to do "shared" program. Had to retake all tests and a mamm that put me behind and then on a DE waiting list for 12 months. Picked a donor!! (10/13/13) Got matched. Estimated transfer in December. After 2.5 years of patiently waiting I will finally cycle....can hardly believe it. DE cycle got cancelled. One of her tests came back positive.  Waiting for another donor. Donor picked!! (1/18/14)

    DE IVF #1 (4/26) BFN  DE FET #1 (6/4) BFP! Beta 1=339 Beta 2=852 Beta 3=9957 EDD 2/22/15!!

    thbphd, I'm taking a small dose of Diazepam and 800 mg Motrin about thirty minutes before the procedure, and, best of all - DH was able to move his schedule and now he can go with me!

    Also, AF is a day late, which never happens -  but I got a BFN this morning. I am in a world of head games right now.

    I don't chart, I rely on OPK's instead, but I have always had extremely reliable cycles. AF shows up on the evening of CD24 or the morning of CD25. Today is CD26. I used a FRER and got a BFN.

    To add to the head games, I have chronic migraine, so a lot of traditional early symptoms (nausea, fatigue, etc) can also be from PMS migraines. I'm tired, nauseated, a bit headachy, and have lower back pain.

    I went ahead and scheduled my appt before AF came, because I needed to let my employer know I would be out of the office.

    Welcome, glad to see you and welcome to the best board!
    TTC#1 since Aug 2013, I'm 37, DH 41.  
    Maya Arvigo Abdominal massage (daily self care), plus TTC meditations.
    I'm very sensitive to diet (gluten, avoid processed foods) and environment. Have a history of inflammation and tendinitis before going off gluten in 2009.  
    July 2014 - RE Visit #1: Eggs look good, Endometrioma on R ovary, HSG showed blocked R tube close to ovary. DH SA normal 
    DX: Endometriosis probably the IF cause and gunking up tubes.  Since egg reserve is high, RE says I can wait a couple months and then get laproscopic surgery to remove endo & clear tube.  If that doesn't help then move to IVF. 
    Dec 2014 - Saw new RE - does not recommend surgery on tube as it isn't likely to help.  Doubts I have endometriosis.  My endometrioma shrunk to neglible size (yay!) 
    Seriously considering IVF in March/April
    12/17/14 - Natural BFP!

    Me: 44 - Hashimoto's (under control), DH: 38 - (minor issues)

    IUIs: 2 in 2012 ... Both BFN
    IVF #1: 10/16/13 ... BFP, however it was not viable and ended in an early loss at 7weeks.
    IVF #2: Feb '14 ... Cancelled. Positive beta at baseline appt, became very early loss.
    IVF #2: Apr '    14 ... Retrieval Only. 2 embryos made it to day 3 freeze & will be batched with IVF #3 for PGD testing.
    IVF #3: June '14     ...     Retrieval Only. 4 embryos growing, all arrested before day 5. Two from April thawed, but also arrested.
    Currently benched while determining how to proceed.

    Maybe I'll start charting. I draw the line at mucus, though.

    I know I had two eggs ready to pop on CD13, because I had an US and the doctor was able to point them out to me. I had an LH surge on CD14, so I assume I ovulated then or on CD15. We tried on days 11-14 (tricky with the IL's in town, LOL), I usually get AF on late CD24/early CD25, so I have a shorter luteal phase. 

    I'd already accepted that I hadn't gotten pregnant this cycle, because of a BFN two days ago (I test 10 DPO with zero shame). Plus I was having my usual cramping and headache on CD 20.
    Me: 38 DH: 40 TTC#1 (and likely only) since 9/13. Saw RE 5/14, SA good, AMH 2.36, FSH 7.2, estradiol 69.6 indicating good egg reserve. Using OPKs. First Letrozole cycle 6/14, a burst cyst and a BFN. Second Letrozole cycle 7/14, BFN.

    I know this is TMI but I just chart whatever is on the toilet paper when I wipe. I always notice the eggwhite stuff that way.

    I get a glob of goo a day or two before my LH surge, so I make sure we start trying that night. I remember Taking Charge of Your Fertility explaining that I needed to root around my cervix with a finger, but that's where I draw the line.
