fruits and veggies

Hey girls I am having such a hard time getting my daily servings or fruits and veggies. I work 7 days a week and am to exhausted to try making smoothies or preparing a fruit salad ... Anyone know of a healthy drink blend I can buy without artificial sweeteners? I know it sounds lazy but I just haven't had energy or the taste especially for veggies since being pregnant.

  • I've been buying frozen fruit and throwing them in the blender with a protein powder. I used to do that before getting pregnant when I was short on time for breakfast. Lately it's been great because eating solids isn't working out for me. I've also been drinking V8, or trying to.

    Apples are easy to grab and don't require preparation. Veggies are trickier for me. I usually get some carrots in (also easy to put in a Baggie and go). I also like frozen bags and warm them up in the microwave. Hope you get a break soon!

  • I spend maybe about an hour over the weekend dividing fruits and veggies up into Tupperware for smoothies. Then they're all ready to go for the blender when I want a smoothie.

  • Smoothies are helping enormously with my fruit/veggie intake these days.  You can buy bags of frozen fruit, toss them in the blender with a banana, spinach, and almond milk.  Easy, and super yummy!
  • Solved the fruit issue just veggies now. I eat a salad every other day but other than that I don't get enough servings and I have NO taste for veggies right now I actually gag at the thought.

  • I normally have a banana as my mid-morning snack; a salad at lunch; and another sort of fruit as my afternoon snack. However, that did not happen today - I should try to get some veggies in with dinner at least.

  • I found some great fruit/veggie juice bars that are frozen. They are Open Nature brand.

  • I like the Naked juices. They are expensive but delish and the bottle tells you how much of each fruit is in a bottle
