I don't know why, but this is already stressing me out. I keep hearing more and more bad things about cow's milk and even though my son goes through it like crazy, I was thinking of maybe trying Anya on Almond Milk. I tried to get my son to switch but he doesn't like the taste.
Anyone else here doing no cow's milk?
Re: anyone here not going to do cow's milk
I was thinking of offering almond milk or hemp milk. Our friends buy unpasturized milk from a farmer in town and their kids love it. So much to think about

It has even banned in infant formula on Europe. I have considered making my own almond milk but it wouldn't be enhanced with calcium or contain protein like cow's milk. It would also be expensive and a huge hassle.
We just can't win!
I introduced wcm to DS when he was 10 months old as per my ped. I cut half milk with half water in his bottle before bed. I don't know if it was coincidence or not but that first I gave it was the first night he started sttn. I plan to do the same for DD.
Also I noticed (and I started a thread about this a month ago when I started having supply issues) if I drink a big glass of milk before bed I notice an increase in my supply the following day. If I skip the milk I have trouble keeping up with her the following day. Again I don't know if it's coincidence or simply the extra calories but it does seem to help me.

This is us. We don't do dairy so LO will have unflavored almond milk. Glad you asked @ChiAmy Makes me feel better knowing it's more common than I thought to not give LO cow milk.

If it's not bothering your first child, it doesn't seem nesessary to avoid giving it to your second, unless they've had symptoms of lactose intolerance/dairy allergies.
